La Paz (Agenzia Fides) - About 5 000 abandoned children live in reception centers of the Departmental Service for Social Management (Sedeges) of the Government of Cochabamba, many waiting to be adopted. In this regard, the Unidad de Atención y Protección of Sedeges, along with local and national institutions, have launched the campaign: Por mi derecho a tener familia (I have a right to have a family), with the aim of promoting the adoption of boys, girls and adolescents in situations of abandonment. This campaign aims to raise awareness and mobilize society on the importance of the problem of orphaned children living in situations of abandonment, so that they have a family too.
