Reason #27 to Defeat Barack Obama:  Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood, which runs the nation’s largest abortion chain, may be about as out-of-the-mainstream as it gets in American politics, but they sure know how to play the political game.

First, they know how to get the money they need to feed their abortion empire.  More than $400 million of their billion dollar a year budget comes from you and me and other American taxpayers.

And they know how to get their voice heard.  For example, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards got a coveted speaking role this past week at the Democratic National Convention.

She used the opportunity to continue spreading Planned Parenthood’s litany of untruths about pro-life candidates.

Because so many Americans hate the thought of their tax dollars going to an organization that kills more than 330,000 unborn babies every year, pro-life public servants have spoken up and voted to end federal funding of Planned Parenthood.

Mitt Romney has spoken out in this context.  But to Richards, it means Romney “is campaigning to get rid of Planned Parenthood.”

Paul Ryan also wants to see Planned Parenthood’s funding cut because of its abortion activities.  But in her speech, Richards converted that mainstream position into a claim that Ryan “voted to end cancer screenings and well-women visits for five million women.”

Now Planned Parenthood intends to take their dishonest characterizations to the airwaves.  They’ve announced they’ll be spending more than $3 million to run attack ads against Romney and Ryan in the key swing states of Ohio and Virginia – states that could decide the election.

In election after election, there has been one effective counter to Planned Parenthood’s distortions about pro-life candidates:  the factual information provided by National Right to Life.  This year we have a powerful tool that can hit back with ads and technology to get out the pro-life vote:  the National Right to Life Victory Fund.

The NRL Victory Fund is a political action committee dedicated to defeating Barack Obama and electing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, along with a pro-life Congress.  We have already communicated our pro-life message to millions of Americans, but millions more need to hear from us before election day.

We won’t have nearly as much money as Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion PACs, but every dollar we get can help bring new pro-life voters to the polls and convince swing voters that Obama/Biden’s support for a radical Planned Parenthood-driven agenda disqualifies them as acceptable candidates.

With less than 60 days to go before the critical 2012 elections, can you help the National Right to Life Victory Fund reach these swing voters in swing states like Ohio, Virginia and elsewhere with a donation of $60 or more?  Your support will help with both public information and crucial get-out-the-vote efforts between now and election day!

Polls now show the states that will decide this election are all within a couple of points either way, some slightly favoring Romney, others narrowly favoring Obama.  With your support we can win, but we do need your help!  Please respond today and share this vital message with your pro-life friends.

Please help us save every precious child from the abortionists . . . and the politics . . . of Planned Parenthood!

Sincerely,
Carol Tobias,

President
National Right to Life
