Today was the 1st in 13 years that abortions were made available in conservativeCollier County, courtesy of PP. An NBC-2.com article entitled, "Heavy security for abortion clinic opening," reported that FBI and Justice Dept.officials would also be on hand to ensure safe killing of preborn babies.
I can't say as I mind all the drama. All the extra hired help eats into profits. It also brings attention. Eric Scheidler of Pro-Life Action League flew in last night to help with press inquiries. He reported on Facebook having conducted interviews with WINK TV, Naples Daily News, local ABC TV, theAssociated Press, and Fox News.

The last private doctor who performed abortions stopped in 1996 when opponents of the procedure demonstrated outside of his practice and home.
"It became clear that no private provider was going to provide services in the county," said Char Wendel, president and CEO of PP of Collier County. "We wanted to provide the full range of reproductive and sexual health care services."
The clinic, which has provided reproductive health services in Collier since 1975, will perform abortions one day a week. Monday's schedule for abortions was full, she said, "reflecting the need in the community."
It has been a dreary day for the Sunshine State.
