Pro-Abortion President Obama Launches Bid for Re-Election
President Barack Obama today announced he will seek-another term as president, where he has advanced the promotion and funding of abortion and pro-abortion groups at am alarming rate.

Today, we are filing papers to launch our 2012 campaign, Obama said in an email to supporters, saying he was doing so early because a full-scale campaign takes time to build.

So even though I m focused on the job you elected me to do, and the race may not reach full speed for a year or more, the work of laying the foundation for our campaign must start today, Obama added. We ve always known that lasting change wouldn t come quickly or easily. It never does. But as my administration and folks across the country fight to protect the progress we ve made and make more we also need to begin mobilizing for 2012, long before the time comes for me to begin campaigning in earnest.

Change on the abortion front came swiftly as Obama compiled a strikingly long pro-abortion record.

During his first week in office, Obama overturned the Mexico City Policy President George W. Bush put back into place to prevent taxpayers from having to fund pro-abortion groups that either promote or perform abortions in other nations. Full story at LifeNews.com

Pro-Abortion Senators Vow to Keep Funding Planned Parenthood
group of 41 pro-abortion members of the Senate have vowed they will do everything they can to keep taxpayer money flowing from the federal government to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Led by pro-abortion stalwart Barbara Boxer, who is deceiving voters into thinking Planned Parenthood does mammograms and that should justify giving it federal funds, the group of 41 outlined their support for taxpayer funding in a new letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the top Democrat, and GOP leader Mitch McConnell, who is pro-life.

The group includes thirty-nine Democratic senators and two Independents, pro-abortion Sens. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Bernie Sanders of Vermont. The number of lawmakers on board and Reid would likely vote with them is enough to filibuster any legislation containing the Pence Amendment that funds Planned Parenthood. House Republicans have already sent the Senate one bill de-funding the abortion business and Democrats mounted enough support to defeat the measure.

The letter, according to a report in The Hill, asked Reid and McConnell to stand with us against extreme proposals by some members of the House to eliminate support for women s health and family planning programs and providers that service millions of women and families.

The abortion advocates said they would oppose the provision in the House-passed continuing resolution that cuts Planned Parenthood health centers off from federal funds used to provide cancer screenings, birth control and other preventative health care services to three million Americans every year. Kermit Gosnell s Wife Gets Bail Despite Abortion Coverup
The wife of controversial abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell will be freed on bail despite several charges against her in connection with the botched abortion and abortion-infanticides Gosnell committed.

Gosnell and several staffers at his abortion center, including his wife Pearl, were arrested in January after a grand jury indicted them on multiple charges after officials raided his abortion business following a woman s death and discovered a shop of horrors filled with bags of bodies and body parts of deceased unborn children and babies killed in infanticides.

Gosnell, who used a method of live birth abortion to birth babies and snap their spinal cords with scissors, was arraigned and held without bail. Pearl Gosnell, Kermit s 49-year-old wife who has no medical license, faces a charge of providing an abortion at 24 or more weeks and conspiracy and other charges. Pearl was in jail because she was unable to make a $1 million bail.

Earlier this month, Pearl s attorney asked a Philadelphia judge to reduce the bail amount so she can be released from prison while the trial on the charges moves ahead. The attorney filed a motion to do that and Common Pleas Court Judge Benjamin Lerner held a hearing on the motion. Today, news came down that Pearl is expected to be released to house arrest after Lerner reduced her bail to $50,000 and her release date is expected to be in two weeks, according to new Gosnell attorney Michael Medway.

The bail that was set was a knee-jerk reaction bail, said Medway, according to the Associated Press The bail was way out of whack. Full story at LifeNews.com

Likely GOP Presidential Candidates Want Planned Parenthood De-Funded
This week, the Susan B. Anthony List contacted Republican presidential hopefuls to ask them where they stand on defunding Planned Parenthood.
Several potential candidates, including Gov. Haley Barbour, former Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Gov. Sarah Palin, and Gov. Tim Pawlenty provided statements directly to the SBA List that were lengthy and clearly advocated revoking the tens of millions of dollars the abortion business receives annually from the federal government.

Rep. Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, former Gov. Mitt Romney and former Sen. Rick Santorum had already publicly spoken out or provided statements to media outlets in support of defunding America s largest abortion business, which receives about one-third of its annual income from federal, state and local taxpayer grants.

The comments from each of the potential Republican presidential candidates appear below. Full stoy at LifeNews.com

Medical Groups Back Planned Parenthood, Ignore Mamogram Expose
Two medical groups participated in a conference call today to urge support for Planned Parenthood in its battle in Congress to keep its massive taxpayer funding.
Representatives of the National Medical Association and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists appeared on a phone call the abortion business arranged with reporters that also featured some of the strongest abortion activists in Congress.

The medical groups ignored the fact that Planned Parenthood is the nation s biggest abortion business, doing more than 325,000 abortions annually, and an expose showing that none of its centers have mammogram machines capable of conducting proper exams of women when it comes to breast cancer. Still, Hal Lawrence, the incoming executive vice-president of ACOG, defended Planned Parenthood as a supposedly legitimate medical organization.

ACOG simply cannot underscore enough how important the care that Planned Parenthood provides is to women s health, Lawrence said, according to a report in The Hill. Politicizing women s healthcare is dangerous and frankly unacceptable. Because of Planned Parenthood women are able to detect cancers early on, and to prevent sexually transmitted diseases. Obama Admin Appeals Florida Judge s Ruling Overturning Obamacare
The Obama administration has filed papers with the federal appeals court in Atlanta seeking to overturn a Florida judge s ruling declaring the entire Obamacare law unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson, in January, ruled the individual mandate is unconstitutional and, therefore, the entire law is as well.

The individual mandate is a portion of the law independent and conservative voters most strongly oppose because it requires Americans to purchase health insurance, that could fund abortions with taxpayer funds or premiums, whether they want to or not. The case the state of Florida and more than two dozen others made to Judge Vinson is that the individual mandate is unconstitutional and the Constitution does not allow Congress to regulate financial inactivity.

In March, Vinson issued a second opinion as he noted with quite a bit of consternation that it had been more than a month since his original ruling and the Obama administration has not filed any papers related to its appeal.

On Friday, the Justice Department filed a 62-page motion with the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals claiming there is a clear and well-established precedent for Congress to pass the Obamacare legislation, which promoted rationing and contained no language limiting the funding of abortions with taxpayer funds. The appeal documents said Congress made detailed findings establishing a foundation for exercising the authority. Full story at LifeNews.com

40 Days for Life Campaign Has 253 Babies Saved From Abortion
Mondays are the best days during the campaign. Monday means that it s time to report the number of saves. So here s some good news to start your week.

Thus far in the current 40 Days for Life campaign, there have been 253 babies saved from abortion that we know of! It s the that we know of part that gives me the greatest hope. Who knows but the Lord Himself how many lives have been saved because Planned Parenthood can t find an abortionist in Columbia, Missouri, where a 40 Days for Life vigil is going on? Abortions have not taken place there since January!

Who knows how many lives have been spared because Golden Gate Health Care closed its abortion centers in San Francisco and San Mateo, where 40 Days for Life vigils have been held? They locked the doors right before this campaign began and have thus far not been able to re-open!

The bottom line is that prayer works! Thank you for all your prayers and thanks to our all-merciful God for these glorious blessings! Full story at LifeNews.com
