TORONTO, October 3, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Earlier this year LifeSiteNews (LSN), in conjunction with Rachel's Vineyard, broke the astonishing story of Julia Holcomb - the woman who, at the age of sixteen, met and nearly got married to Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler. Holcomb and Tyler's relationship fell apart, however, after Holcomb became pregnant with his child, and was pressured into an abortion by Tyler.

After 30-plus years of silence, Holcomb, who is now a pro-life, Catholic mother of seven children, stepped forward to tell the story of her relationship, the abortion, and its aftermath, in a memoir published by LSN in May of this year (read that memoir here).
At the time that LSN published Julia's memoir, no one at LSN had spoken to or met Julia: she communicated with us through Rachel's Vineyard, the ministry for post-abortion healing.
But earlier this summer we received an e-mail from Julia's husband informing us that she would in Toronto attending a painting workshop at the Academy for Realist Art. Our managing director, Steve Jalsevac, lives in Toronto, and our assistant editor, John Jalsevac, lives about an hour and a half outside the city.
John was able to meet Julia, an accomplished painter, at the Academy, where she and her son were attending a Caravaggio workshop. She and her son returned to the Jalsevacs for dinner, where LSN was able to conduct an impromptu video interview with her.
LSN is pleased to present that video interview with Julia, who is now a spokesperson for Silent No More Awareness, the ministry for men and women who regret having had or been involved in an abortion. LSN's interview is being published online today in cooperation with Priests for Life, which is also publishing a separate interview that they conducted with Julia (see that video interview here).
