SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 18, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Friday, January 20, the Life Legal Defense Foundation (LLDF) will host the seminar, "Defending the Free Speech Rights of Pro-Life Advocates," which is an approved CLE (Continuing Legal Education) program. The goal is to prepare attorneys to protect free speech rights when attempts are made to stifle pro-life advocacy.

"We want to show pro-life attorneys and activists that the law is on their side," said Dana Cody, Executive Director of the Life Legal Defense Foundation. "It is especially timely because it's right before the San Francisco Walk for Life and the National March for Life. We want to make sure that participants in those activities and protests will have their free speech protected."

Some of the topics that will be covered are:

First Amendment rights for rallies, protests, and sidewalk counseling

How to secure permits when authorities appear to be prejudiced

Trends of potential problems that can occur with confusing laws (e.g. bubble zones)

Overcoming current abuse with Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act(s)
