Family Research Council's Tony Perkins Endorses Florida Amendment Banning All Abortions

PORT SAINT LUCIE, Fla., Jan. 12, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Personhood Florida received a major endorsement this week from Family Research Council's (FRC) Tony Perkins. Similar to the Personhood Amendment recently on the ballot in Mississippi, the Florida Amendment bans all abortion. Personhood FL will use this endorsement to encourage FRC's extensive network of politically active pastors to distribute the Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 22, the anniversary of Roe-v-Wade. 

In his endorsement, Perkins said, "I applaud the good folks of Florida for challenging the culture of death and championing life at all stages. The Florida ProLife Personhood Amendment is a reflection of a growing pro-life sentiment across the country and points toward a post-Roe era. I support the petition drive for this amendment and look forward to the day it can go before the voters in Florida."

Personhood FL will utilize Perkins' endorsement to encourage every pastor in Florida to distribute the ProLife Personhood Amendment in their churches Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 22, 2012. Personhood FL is recruiting volunteers to contact every pastor, every church in Florida by January 22. "January 22 marks the 39th anniversary of Roe-v-Wade, and we believe that it's time for abortion to end in America," Longworth remarked.
