Judge Dismisses Suit: HHS Mandate No Threat to Religious Freedom
In a decision in one of the dozens of lawsuits the pro-abortion HHS mandate faces, a Missouri federal district court rejected a legal challenge to the Obamacare mandate brought by a small business whose owner is a Catholic. The lawsuit claimed the HHS mandate burdens their exercise of religion.

However, in a ruling issues late Friday, Judge Carol E. Jackson dismissed in its entirety the lawsuit against the mandate, saying the mandate does not constitute a substantial burden on religious freedom. Judge Jackson ruled against Frank O Brien and O Brien Industries and in favor of the Obama administration s motion to dismiss the lawsuit. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/judge-dismisses-suit-hhs-mandate-no-threat-to-religious-freedom/

Romney: To Repeal Obamacare, Replace President Obama
The Romney campaign is sending a new mailer to voters in the key battleground state of Virginia promising to begin the effort to repeal Obamacare from day one, should Americans elect him over pro-abortion President Barack Obama in November.

The mailing Romney would take immediate steps to repeal and replace Obamacare on the first day of his presidency. It includes the tag line, To Repeal Obamacare, Replace President Obama. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/romney-to-repeal-obamacare-replace-president-obama/

Dozens of Pro-Lifers Arrested at White House Opposing HHS Mandate
Over the weekend, two dozen pro-life advocates were arrested at the White House for praying and holding pro-life signs protesting President Obama s pro-abortion HHS mandate.

Obamacare will force institutions, churches and individuals to purchase abortion-inducing drugs and pay for sterilization and abortion in direct opposition to their beliefs, conscience and historic teachings of the Church, the group of people said in a statement. With the recent Supreme Court ruling affirming Obamacare, the future of religious freedom in America is at risk and in grave danger of being entirely wiped out. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/dozens-of-pro-lifers-arrested-at-white-house-opposing-hhs-mandate/

Liberals Send Election Intimidation Letter to 60,000 Pastors
A pro-abortion group is sending letters to 60,000 churches in an attempt to intimidate them in the upcoming elections.

With churches holding voter registration drives, with pastors talking about the importance of pro-life and religious issues in the election and with churches allowing pro-lifers to distribute literature based on their First Amendment rights, the threats could adversely effect pro-life election efforts. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/liberals-send-election-intimidation-letter-to-60000-pastors/

40 Days for Life Event Saves 51 Babies From Abortion, So Far
We always like to start Monday mornings with good news and on the first Monday of this campaign, there s actually GREAT news!

So far since last Wednesday when the campaign started, we have reports of 51 babies saved that we know of! http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/40-days-for-life-event-saves-51-babies-from-abortion-so-far/

Planned Parenthood Rallying Against Romney Ahead of Debate
The Planned Parenthood abortion business, which has already started sinking millions into supporting President Barack Obama s re-election campaign, will be rallying in Denver, Colorado tomorrow and Wednesday ahead of the Wednesday night debate.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) and Planned Parenthood Votes (PPVotes) are behind a number of anti-Romney activities designed to raise support from Colorado-based pro-abortion activists in advance of the debate, which will focus on social issues. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/planned-parenthood-rallying-against-romney-ahead-of-debate/

Pro-Life Voters Have No Reason to Vote for Pro-Abortion Obama
We still hear from a few people who say they are pro-life, but who intend to vote for Barack Obama for other reasons. From reading their letters and hearing their arguments, I firmly believe we can win enough of these people to the pro-life Romney/Ryan camp to win the election. Here s why:

Polls show a majority of Americans oppose abortion. But many Americans don t understand that when they vote for a presidential candidate who supports abortion rights, they are voting for the killing of many thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of additional children. They are also voting to allow the most brutal of late abortions. There is no way around this fact. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/pro-life-voters-have-no-reason-to-vote-for-pro-abortion-obama/

Pro-Lifers in 1500 Cities Will Join LifeChains This Weekend
In Life Chain s 25th year of prayer and public witness, hundreds of thousands of people will join together to present a united message against abortion on the streets of more than 1,500 cities across the U.S. and Canada. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/pro-lifers-in-1500-cities-will-join-lifechains-this-weekend/

Obama Campaign Exploits Woman With Down Syndrome to Attack Romney
President Obama s re-election campaign is under fire today from conservatives for exploiting a young woman with Down Syndrome in an attempt to attack Mitt Romney. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/obama-campaign-exploits-woman-with-down-syndrome-to-attack-romney/

Church Members Boo Pro-Lifer Asking Sebelius About HHS Mandate
This past weekend, a pro-life protestor was booed at a D.C. church for attempting to ask Kathleen Sebelius a question regarding the HHS contraception mandate at a forum following the church service. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/church-members-boo-pro-lifer-asking-sebelius-about-hhs-mandate/

Mother Walks Through Fire to Save Her Unborn Baby
Well I have to tell you as your oncologist, you are my patient and my goal is to save your life. And if we want to save your life, the best thing for you to do is have an abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/mother-walks-through-fire-to-save-her-unborn-baby/

World Health Organization Promotes New How-To Abortion Manual
The World Health Organization (WHO) is devoting much staff time and resources to promoting the legalization of abortion around the world. In fact, it has just come out with a new how-to manual entitled Safe abortion: technical and policy guidance for health systems. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/world-health-organization-promotes-new-how-to-abortion-manual/

Ohio Abortions Drop to Historic Lows, New Report Reveals
A new report from the Ohio state health department shows the number of abortions in the Buckeye State has dropped to historic lows. According to the latest report released by the Ohio Department of Health, thousands of unborn children were spared from abortions in 2011, compared to 2010. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/ohio-abortions-drop-to-historic-lows-new-report-reveals/

Congress Still Needs to Investigate Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz
On October 16, the nation s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, will celebrate its 96th anniversary. The organization is lauded as an advocate for women from the Oval Office to Hollywood and in countless neighborhoods in between. That praise, however, is based on a carefully constructed false front, aided by the best marketing Madison Avenue can provide, and deeply subsidized by the American taxpayer. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/congress-still-needs-to-investigate-planned-parenthood-abortion-biz/

Disability Rights Groups Oppose Question 2 in Massachusetts
State and national disability rights and social justice advocates are asking Massachusetts United States Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren to meet about Ballot Question 2 and discuss their reasons for strongly opposing this measure to legalize assisted suicide. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/disability-rights-groups-oppose-question-2-in-massachusetts/

Swiss Parliament: Assisted Suicide Groups Can Run Wild
A vote in the Swiss parliament rejected a proposal to regulate the assisted suicide organizations and their suicide clinics. The two main assisted suicide organizations are Exit and Dignitas. Members of the lower house of parliament voted against changing the code, arguing self-regulation by right-to-die organizations such as Exit and Dignitas worked and the liberal rules protected individual freedoms. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/swiss-parliament-assisted-suicide-groups-can-run-wild/

California Panel Awarded Stem Cells Grants to Its Directors
This is soooo unsurprising: Wathdog David Jensen, author of the stellar California Stem Cell Report blog, discloses that California Institute of Regenerative Medicine has doled over a billion of Californians borrowed money to recipients affiated with its directors. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/01/california-panel-awarded-stem-cells-grants-to-its-directors/
