Planned Parenthood Sees Record High Abortions, Taxpayer Funding
The new annual report released by the national Planned Parenthood abortion business shows it did more abortions in its last year than ever before in its history.

The new report released by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) shows the abortion giant did a record 333,964 abortions on unborn children during the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Those abortions were estimated to have generated $150 million dollars for the nonprofit organization. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/planned-parenthood-sets-record-more-abortions-than-ever/

Supreme Court Tosses Suit to Stop Obama Embryonic Research Funding
The Supreme Court today decided against hearing a case that involves a lawsuit filed by stem cell researchers challenging President Barack Obama s decision to force taxpayers to fund embryonic stem cell research.

Previously, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia upheld a decision throwing out a lawsuit challenging the funding, which President George W. Bush stopped and Obama allowed just months after entering office. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/supreme-court-tosses-suit-to-stop-obama-embryonic-research-funding/

Planned Parenthood Faces New Lawsuit for Killing Woman in Abortion
The Planned Parenthood abortion business in Chicago, Illinois now faces a second lawsuit over the botched abortion it performed that killed Tonya Reaves. The autopsy report shows beyond a doubt that the 24-year old woman died from three major complications during a botched second-trimester abortion suffered at a Chicago area Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on July 20, 2012.

The Chicago Sun Times has more details about the second lawsuit. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/planned-parenthood-faces-new-lawsuit-for-killing-woman-in-abortion/

Pro-Life Group Wins Battle to Stop HHS Mandate s Fines
In another victory in one of the lawsuits against the HHS mandate that is a part of Obamacare, Priests for Life has stopped the Obama administration from levying fines against it for failing to comply.

Priests for Life has scored a victory in its challenge to the religious-freedom-busting HHS mandate. Lawyers for the Obama administration stipulated that the pro-life organization would not have to offer contraception, sterilization services and abortifacient drugs through its employee health insurance plan, the group informed LifeNews today. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/pro-life-group-wins-battle-to-stop-hhs-mandates-fines/

Raped and Attacked While Pregnant, Woman Rejects Abortion
You know, it has been 40 years since abortion was legalized on-demand, in all 9 months of pregnancy. We ve lost an entire generation. The stories contained within Students for Life s new book, Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in our Lifetime, are the stories of this generation s survivors.

Tonight, Monday, January 7th, I hope you will join me; David Bereit, Days for Life; and Jason Jones, producer of Bella and Cresendo for a very special webcast to launch our new book Courageous. During this once-in-a-lifetime event, you will hear firsthand from the young people whose stories Phyllis Schlafly said were gripping and whose stories will make Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry shake in their boots.http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/raped-and-attacked-while-pregnant-woman-rejects-abortion/

The Pro-Life Movement Really is Winning the Abortion Battle
Although clearly a pro-choice advocate, Kate Pickert in the January 14 Time Magazine cover story, What Choice? admits that the pro-choice cause is in crisis.

In the article, Pickert says there is a rebellion going on within the abortion rights cause, pitting younger feminists against the old-time leaders who were in their 20 s and 30 s when the battle began with Roe. But now, she says, these leaders are out of touch with the problem of state laws that curtail abortion while polls are showing abortion acceptance dwindling. The younger women want to take control of the fight, and believe they can do better than the old guard. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/the-pro-life-movement-really-is-winning-the-abortion-battle/

Special Day Helps Get Clergy More Involved in Pro-Life Cause
One of the most commonly heard themes (and frustrations) in the pro-life movement is that the clergy need to exercise more clear and courageous leadership in the cause of life. This, of course, is at the heart of my own fulltime ministry with Priests for Life. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/07/special-day-helps-get-clergy-more-involved-in-pro-life-cause/
