A Difference without a Distinction

Today's guest commentary delves into the minds of those who advocate for the "choice" to have an abortion. But there should never be a choice when it comes to the taking of an innocent human life-for each preborn baby is unique and deserves the life God has given him or her. Read on for Mark Crutcher's insights.

TN abortion foes want Planned Parenthood to lose $1M

Tennessean

Abortion opponents are pushing Gov. Bill Haslam to strip more than $1 million from Planned Parenthood, in a campaign that is delaying the money's distribution and could set off a lawsuit. Abortion foes say they want Haslam to deliver on a campaign statement critical of using public money for abortions. The administration is now asking local health directors in Nashville and Memphis to take over the Planned Parenthood grants and "think creatively" about how family planning money is spent.

'The most dangerous place for a Latino is in the womb'

Yahoo
A Latino advocacy group is charging that abortion providers are targeting their communities, making their frustration known with a jumbo billboard campaign in Los Angeles, California. "It's clear that Latinos are being targeted by organizations that promote abortion like Planned Parenthood," said Alfonso Aguilar, executive director of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, the group behind the billboard. "Many of their clinics are in Latino neighborhoods and communities." The ad campaign is meant to kick off a pro-life event called "Unidos por la Vida" (United for Life) Sunday at the LA Sports Arena. The gathering will be sponsored by the pro-life Latino group Manto de Guadalupe.
Baltimore pregnancy counseling law being appealed

Washington Times

A national pro-life group is getting involved in the legal battle over a Baltimore law that would require faith-based pregnancy centers to post notices stating they do not offer abortion referrals. Americans United for Life, a D.C.-based group, filed a brief Tuesday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, seeking to provide testimony in an upcoming case about the law, which was passed in 2009 by the Baltimore City Council, then ruled unconstitutional last January in U.S. District Court. The group wants to submit written testimony, known as an amicus curiae brief, arguing the appeals court should not overturn the January court decision.
