Clinic Worker Calls Gosnell’s Baby Jabbing Method a “Beheading”
An unlicensed medical worker at the abortion clinic Kermit Gosnell ran in Philadelphia had a very graphic description for the practice Gosnell employed where he jabbed medical scissors into the backs of babies’ necks to kill them.

Gosnell is charged with more than 30 criminal counts including the killing of seven newborn infants and a female patient in a botched abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/clinic-worker-calls-gosnells-baby-jabbing-method-a-beheading/
Judge Orders Sales of Morning After Pill to Teens Nationwide
A federal judge has ordered the federal government to make the morning after pill available for sale to teenagers nationwide.

Judge Edward Korman, a federal judge based in New York City, heard arguments in a case filed by the pro-abortion Center for Reproductive Rights over whether the FDA should have ultimately allowed teens to buy the Plan B drug without a doctor’s order. The pro-abortion group says such drugs are being held to a different standard than other drugs and that decisions are not based on science, but on politics. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/judge-orders-sales-of-morning-after-pill-for-teens-nationwide/
1,270 Babies Born Alive After Failed Abortions in the U.S.
A shocking figure from a hearing on a bill in Florida should capture the attention of people across the country: hundreds of babies are born alive following botched abortions every year.
Most of the attention that has been focused on a controversial statement by a Planned Parenthood lobbyist has centered on the abortion business’ opposition to a bill to require appropriate medical care for any baby who survive an abortion. But the state representative who sponsored the bill told members of the Florida committee that held a hearing on it a shocking number. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/1270-babies-born-alive-after-failed-abortions-in-the-united-states/
Gosnell Employee: “It Would Rain Fetuses and Blood” Everywhere
Thursday, former Gosnell employee Steven Massof, gave shocking testimony concerning the inner workings of Gosnell’s shoddy abortion business. He described a chaotic office where conditions continuously degraded over the nine years he worked there.
Massof has been incarcerated since his arrest with Gosnell and seven others in 2011. He is a short, thin man, whose ill-fitting green prison jumpsuit seemed to swallow his slight frame. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/gosnell-employee-it-would-rain-fetuses-and-blood-everywhere/

Pro-Life Groups Slam Morning After Pill Ruling: Girls Will be Exploited
Pro-life groups are not happy with today’s decision by a federal judge to allow sales of the morning after pill to teenagers, including girls of any age.

Anna Higgins, J.D., director of the Center for Human Dignity at the Family Research Council, expressed serious concerns regarding a federal judge’s order today that the “morning-after” pill be available to girls of all ages without a prescription. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/pro-life-groups-slam-morning-after-pill-ruling-girls-will-be-exploited/
Gruesome Gosnell Case Shows Abortion Clinic Workers Need Prayer
I have been avoiding the creepy Gosnell case. Honestly, I scroll away quickly when I see his name in a headline. Coincidentally, I was asked to write about the thing I’ve been avoiding so diligently.

In my research, I read the grand jury report. Well, I read about 127 pages of the over 200 page report and finally could not continue to read any more. I do not know about the details in the remaining pages, but the ones I read were too devastating for me to take in and come up with anything to say that hasn’t been said. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/gruesome-gosnell-case-shows-abortion-clinic-workers-need-prayer/
Activists Use New Stealth Methods to Recruit, Train Abortion Doctors
Frustrated by the persistence of shame attached to abortion, international abortion activists are employing stealth methods to recruit and train abortionists while scholars are attempting to stigmatize healthcare providers’ right to object on grounds of conscience.
“Abortion stigma is affected both by legislative initiatives that establish fetal personhood and gestational age limits and by discourses that influence cultural values,” write Dr. Allison Norris and her colleagues in a Women’s Health Issues article. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/activists-use-new-stealth-methods-to-recruit-train-abortion-doctors/
UN Human Rights Council Ditches Pro-Family Measure to Promote Abortion
The Human Rights Council set aside a resolution to protect the family as member states focused instead on a controversial resolution which could expose children to early sexualization and abortion, and would undermine the rights of parents. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/un-human-rights-council-ditches-pro-family-measure-to-promote-abortion/

Ireland: Doctors Reject Abortion, Pro-Life Campaign Welcomes Vote
The Pro Life Campaign welcomes votes today by the Irish Medical Organization (IMO) Conference to defeat three motions that would have had the physicians group endorsing abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/ireland-doctors-reject-abortion-pro-life-campaign-welcomes-vote/

Legal Group Defends Pro-Life Free Speech at the Supreme Court
Yesterday, the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) filed a “Friend of the Court” brief in the United States Supreme Court, urging the Court to review and reverse a Colorado Appellate Court decision which banned the public display of “gruesome” abortion images because they might offend children. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/legal-group-defends-pro-life-free-speech-at-the-supreme-court/

Control Over Their Bodies is Not Why Women Say They Get Abortions
We hear a lot about bodily rights during the abortion debate. Moving beyond the abortion debate to society in general, I think it’s clear that bodily rights are fundamental. It seems most other pro-lifers think it’s clear too. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/control-over-their-bodies-is-not-why-women-say-they-get-abortions/

Oregon Woman Charged Over Profiting From Man’s Assisted Suicide
Oregon Radio Station KZTV is reporting that a woman has been charged with “criminal mistreatment and aggravated theft” in a case involving assisted suicide. The state alleges that Tami Sawyer “took custody of Thomas Middleton, a dependent or elderly person, for the purpose of fraud.”. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/oregon-woman-charged-over-profiting-from-mans-assisted-suicide/

Quebec Assisted Suicide Opponents to Mobilize Against Euthanasia
This morning, the Rassemblement québécois contre l’euthanasie (The Quebec Rally Against Euthanasia—RQCE) has announced a large-scale citizens’ mobilisation against euthanasia during simultaneous press conferences held in Quebec City and Montreal (outside of the Quebec National Assembly and at the Hospitalières museum of Hôtel-Dieu hospital of Montreal). http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/quebec-assisted-suicide-opponents-to-mobilize-against-euthanasia/
States Should Follow North Dakota Stopping Abortions on Down Syndrome Kids
North Dakota recently enacted first-of-its-kind legislation: a bill prohibiting abortion when it is performed solely on the basis of a genetic abnormality of the unborn child. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/states-should-follow-north-dakota-stopping-abortions-on-down-syndrome-kids/
Nicaragua: Planned Parenthood Uses Anti-Violence Campaign to Push Abortion
International Planned Parenthood Federation’s (IPPF) recently launched campaign to end violence against women appears at first glance to be a laudable effort. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/04/nicaragua-planned-parenthood-uses-anti-violence-campaign-to-push-abortion/
Mississippi Legislature Bans Dangerous Webcam Abortions
The Mississippi State Senate, under the leadership of pro-life Lt. Governor Tate Reeves and Public Health Committee Chairman Dean Kirby, has passed Senate Bill 2795 with only eight Senators opposing final passage. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/05/mississippi-legislature-bans-dangerous-webcam-abortions/
