Dear Friends for Life,
Heartbreaking video shows what you lose after an abortion:
When women are in the grips of a crisis pregnancy, it can be hard to
think of the good that will come of it. All they can see is the crisis.
And pro-abortion "counselors" - like those at, say, Planned Parenthood -
will hammer in those fears and doubts. They will lie, giving women
inaccurate and misleading medical information. They will not be told
about resources that exist to help them through not only the pregnancy,
but the raising of the child as well. The way pro-aborts talk, there are
no resources available, and women who choose to continue a crisis
pregnancy will be sentenced to a life of misery and doom. Read more...

This Guy Writes a Confession Letter to His Daughter with Down Syndrome That Will Break Your Heart in 100 Ways: When competitive runner Heath White and his wife received the news that their daughter would be born with Down Syndrome, Heath wanted an abortion. But after baby Paisley was born in 2007, he knew he'd never be the same again.

"If people contemplate and really see the sanctity of life,
their "quality of life" arguments fall away and
they will understand that we are here to care for each other,
not to kill each other. Caring, and not convenience,
is the sign of a civilized and just society!"

(Abortion): "Accused Pa. baby killer is pro-choice poster child (video)" - "If
the body of this little boy had been found in the bathroom of an
abortion clinic instead of in the bathroom of a bar, the country would
have never heard about it." - Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics,
Inc.
(Life): "Overcoming the evil of abortion" - Watch Judie Brown as she teaches in an intimate setting how everyone can help in "Overcoming the evil of abortion." Judie gives a simple lesson on how each of us can make a difference.
***************************** ***********
ITEM #1: Men's Liberation
NARAL Pro-Choice America hosted a fundraiser September 18 entitled "Men for Choice." The purpose of the event was to make sure that any coital act, which had the undesired natural consequence of pregnancy, could be undone by abortion. So the abortion movement has finally declared itself. Its purpose is the liberation of men, not women. Pro-lifers have known for many years that the availability of abortion made it more difficult for women to decline sexual advances.
****************************** **********
ITEM #2: The Addiction No One Wants to Talk About
When confronting the scourge of pornography, maybe a little seeing is believing. I'll explain what I mean ...
****************************** **********
ITEM #3: Contraception as a "Solution" to Abortion: No way!
A good friend - at least I think we're still friends—recently told me that he had decided that the "solution" to abortion was more contraception. Of course, this solution is not original with him. It has been around for decades and is constantly invoked by the Barack Obamas, the Hilary Clintons, and the Nancy Pelosis of the world. But as he is a professing Christian (and should know better) I took the time to write him the following note:
****************************** **********
ITEM #4: Slum population up, from 52 million to 65 million
The census defines a slum as "residential areas where dwellings are unfit for human habitation" because they are dilapidated, cramped, poorly ventilated, unclean or "any combination of these factors which are detrimental to the safety and health" and covers all 4,041 statutory towns in India.
****************************** **********
ITEM #5: Young adults join together to learn strategies for defending traditional marriage
41 students and young professionals traveled to San Diego, Calif., to learn how to defend one-woman, one-man marriage. While the attendees eagerly discussed the necessity for marriage in society around dining tables and by the pool, they realized their views will be largely mocked and rejected once they step out of the safety of the ITAF conference.
****************************** **********
ITEM #6: Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan
In November 2009 the U.S. Catholic Bishops approved a pastoral letter called "Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan." The letter presents the essential points of Catholic teaching on marriage as a natural gift, as a sacrament, and as a public commitment between a man and a woman. It also discusses several contemporary challenges to marriage and how the Church addresses those challenges.
What is Marriage?: Part I
Unitive and Procreative: Part II
Divorce: Challenges to Marriage: Part III
Challenges to Marriage: Part IV
****************************** **********
ITEM #7 How to help a friend who has received a prenatal diagnosis
It happens every day. A couple, excited about their pregnancy and the birth of their child, receive the devastating news of a prenatal diagnosis. But even if the diagnosis includes those heartbreaking words - "incompatible with life" - every life deserves to be celebrated, and every baby deserves to be loved. As the friend or family member of someone who has received such a diagnosis, you have the power and the ability to help the couple cope, heal, and find joy.
****************************** **********
ITEM #8: The Surprising Spread and Cultural Impact of Transhumanism
If you could enhance your intelligence, significantly extend your lifespan, or overcome a moral flaw with the help of surgery or pharmaceuticals, would you do it? What if you could make these same improvements in your children before they are even born? Herein lies the question at the center of the growing movement known as transhumanism: if technology could enable you to enhance your life in some way, would you do it, even if it meant losing part of your humanity in the process?
****************************** **********
ITEM #9: Accompanying the hibakusha to the birthplace of the atomic bomb
Last week, I returned to Los Alamos, N.M., the scene of our greatest crime, the birthplace of the atomic bomb, where preparations continue for bigger and better nuclear weapons. Even as the government is shut down and New Mexico has just been ranked worst in the nation for the well-being of children, plutonium bomb-making carries on at Los Alamos.
****************************** **********
ITEM #10: Doctors administered lethal injection to blind Dutch woman
Medics have killed a woman by lethal injection because she could not cope with becoming blind. In one of the first cases of euthanasia for a disability, the 70-year-old was deemed by doctors to be 'suffering unbearably'.
****************************** **********
ITEM #11: 400,000 Human Beings are Frozen Awaiting Their Life or Death Fate
Adults are bending time and space to satisfy their desire for children by adopting long-frozen embryos.
****************************** **********
ITEM #12: Three-Parent Embryos Immoral and Technique to Make Them is Untested, Unsafe
In the last year there has been a push in both the United Kingdom and the United States for permission to create children with three genetic parents.
