Planned Parenthood Lawsuit Ignores Women Coerced into Abortions

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., June 29 /Christian Newswire/ -- Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, commented today on Planned Parenthood's filing of a lawsuit to prevent the enforcement of Nebraska's new law requiring that a woman receive pre-abortion counseling to guard against possible coercion or risks to her health.

"The flip side of 'choice' is that women have a right not to be coerced into abortion by boyfriends, parents, employers, or anyone else," said Fr. Pavone. "Planned Parenthood, however, doesn't care about rights that interfere with its profit margins. It's suing the state of Nebraska so that it can keep performing abortions as quickly as possible, regardless of who really wants them."
