There were 20 prayer warriors, including several children, along with five sidewalk counselors who covered all four driveways into the large parking area at Family Planning Associates on Miramar Road in San Diego on Saturday, June 12.
At about 7:30 a.m. an older black car with a couple went right by Luis in the driveway as he was distracted by something else. They parked in the lot for a couple of minutes. None of the nurses had arrived yet. Suddenly they drove toward the exit driveway and Luis stopped them. The couple looked to be in their early twenties. He gave them a brochure on Dr. Santella and went over the fact that Dr. Santella's license had been previously suspended and he was put on probation twice for malpractice and negligence. The girl, who may have been in her late teens, looked very frightened when he gave them this information. He also told them about Culture of Life Family Services (COLFS), and gave them one of their cards. Luis asked the boyfriend, who was driving, if they were there for FPA. He hesitated, and then said that they were just "looking around." They left and did not return.
