EUROPE/ITALY - : Holy Childhood Association Day
Rome (Agenzia Fides) – On Saturday, May 22, the Diocese of Rome celebrates the Holy Childhood Association Day with a meeting for children called "Children of Rome Stand With the Children of the World." The afternoon's celebration, which begins at 3pm at the Pontifical Minor Seminary of Rome, with an entrance at Via Aurelia #208, includes an initial reception time and "ice-breakers," with games and other group activities, and the presentation of the schedule for the afternoon. This will be followed by a brief presentation of the different cultures of the various continents. In each area, children will be welcomed by event leaders who will accompany them in this "journey." In the second part of the encounter, there will be a Powerpoint presentation on child labor and the hardships of children in the world, several testimonies from children, a greeting from the presiding Bishop, and a brief moment of prayer. Finally, a solidarity project for children of Haiti will be launched. On the occasion, there will be a small exhibition of drawings and thoughts of children from Catholic schools, parishes, and migrant communities of Rome who will attend the festival entitled "Children: World and Solidarity."
