Pro-life students begin annual trek across U.S. "witnessing to the dignity and sanctity of all human life"

Beginning on Saturday, May 22, groups of college and university students set out from San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle for three simultaneous pro-life walks across the U.S. This year's treks mark the 16th year in a row students have made the journey, which culminates in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 14 at the U.S. Capitol building.
The walks are sponsored by Crossroads, which, according to its website, "was started in response to the late John Paul II's call to the youth of America at the World Youth Day in Denver, Colorado to 'build a Culture of Life.'"
Crossroads also has a Canadian walk starting in Vancouver (same dates as above) and ending in Ottawa at the Canadian Parliament, said a news release from the group.
SEATTLE, SAN FRANCISCO, LOS ANGELES & CANADA - For the 16th summer in a row, students from colleges and universities across the country will be walking with Crossroads on our THREE simultaneous pro-life walks across America.
These summer long walks start on Saturday, May 22nd in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and will end together in Washington, DC on August 14th at the U.S. Capitol building.

From the Pacific coast to the Capital, these simultaneous walks for life will cover over 13,000 miles, pass through 38 states, 4 provinces and thousands of towns and cities.
"Crossroads was started in reponse to the late John Paul II's call to the youth of America at the World Youth Day in Denver, Colorado to 'build a Culture of Life'" said Jim Nolan, president of Crossroads. "He challenged the youth of America and the world to 'Be not afraid'.
