GOOD NEWS: Congressional Hearing Requested

Two months ago we started circulating a letter addressed to key members of the U.S. House of Representatives for signatures from national leaders and concerned citizens. The purpose of the letter is to ask for a CONGRESSIONAL HEARING on the PANDEMIC OF HARM from pornography and the need to vigorously enforce federal obscenity laws.

Our goal was to get 5,000 signatures from concerned American citizens - we got more than that! We also got 127 national and well-known leaders to sign the letter too. Because so many of you have supported these efforts, we are very optimistic that this will really happen!

Today, two from our team, Dominick and Tammy, hand-delivered the letters to all members on the House Judiciary and House Energy and Commerce Committees.

Thank you for all of your support and for your help in this fight against pornography.

We have tirelessly sought to get our federal laws against illegal adult pornography enforced because I know, having been the chief enforcement officer for the U.S. Department of Justice on pornography cases, just how valuable enforcement of our laws can be. Those laws prohibit distribution of obscene (hardcore) pornography on the Internet, on cable/satellite TV, on hotel/motel TV, in retail stores, through the mail and by common carrier like UPS or FedEx. Imagine what a different country we would have if those laws were vigorously enforced!

A Congressional hearing featuring top medical professionals, religious leaders, marriage experts, victims and others will demonstrate that America is suffering great harm from pornography and will lead Congress to demand that these laws be taken seriously. The U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, has stopped enforcement, but with your help, we will change that.

Sincerely,
