Planned Parenthood persists in denying abortion-breast cancer link
By Rita Diller
Even though 53 out of 66 studies done since 1957 show an increased risk of breast cancer after induced abortion, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards sent out an impassioned plea for money to fight new Kansas legislation that she deceptively claims will "force doctors to lie to their patients. Even if the woman seeking abortion is a victim of rape or incest, her doctor will lie to her about her risk of breast cancer on the orders of Kansas lawmakers. How awful. How cruel. Help us stop it," she says. Richards is upset because the new legislation requires abortionists to warn women about the correlation between induced abortion and breast cancer.

She then says that there is a "complete lack of evidence that abortion will increase the risk of breast cancer." Really, Cecile?

Dr. Angela Lanfranchi, who is set to headline our Pill Kills symposium in Washington, D.C. on June 2, blasts Richards' ongoing attempt at hiding the truth.

Bill puts Planned Parenthood last in line for funds
Middletown Journal
An ideological battle about abortion is being waged in the Ohio Statehouse as lawmakers consider a bill that would essentially take away federal family planning grants from Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Ohio. Legislators last month removed a plan to include the funding changes in a budget bill, but now the plan has returned in House Bill 298, which is pending before the House Health Committee. The bill calls for setting up a ranking system that would put certain health care providers last in line for federal family planning money.

Maine governor signs budget zapping $400K to abortion biz
LifeNews
Maine Governor Paul LePage has delighted pro-life advocates today by initially pushing for and now signing a state budget into law that defunds an abortion business that also funds Planned Parenthood. The abortion business stands to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars as a result. LePage signed the budget that makes $80 million total in cuts to help reverse a state budget shortfall. He signed the budget hours after the Maine House and Senate gave their final approval to the bill. In final votes last night, the Senate passed the budget 19-14 and the House approved it 75-61.

Minnesota grand jury indicts right-to-die group
Bloomberg Businessweek
A Minnesota grand jury has indicted a national right-to-die group and several members for their actions in the 2007 suicide of a suburban Minneapolis woman, prosecutors announced Monday. The 17-count indictment charges the medical director of Final Exit Network, Lawrence Egbert of Baltimore, and three other officials with felony counts of assisting suicide and interference with a death scene, a gross misdemeanor. It also charged the New Jersey-based group in its corporate capacity.
