Here is a portion of the "Dear John” message I received from the UF Collegians for Life President:
I would've canceled it [the reservation] earlier had I had time to research. While I think it is important to show the culture the evil of abortion I do not believe doing so by showing aborted babies is the way to do it. My message focuses on showing the beauty of all life. I believe the display of aborted children undermines my message of love. The only thing that can fight a culture of death is a culture of love.
I wrote back:
You say you want to "show the culture the evil of abortion” but you cannot do that by being part of the cover up. Planned Parenthood does a good enough job themself and doesn't need your help. We show the beauty of life too, but that alone is insufficient when most students at UF have no idea what abortion does to the baby. Only focusing on the beauty of life to discuss abortion is like only showing pictures of Bar Mitzvas in discussing the holocaust.
Our biggest obstacles are often fellow pro-life advocates. Please pray for us as we unmask the truth.
