40 Days For Life: Look who's talking!

40 Days for Life
Dear Deacon John,
Applications to lead a 40 Days for Life campaign from September 24 to November 2 are open until July 22 ... and have they been pouring in! If you're ready to lead a campaign, you can apply today. Just go to:

If you're still discerning your role ... or need some words of encouragement ... just take a look at who's talking about 40 Days for Life! It's people like Jim Daly of Focus on the Family Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. … Alan Sears of Alliance Defending Freedom as well as numerous pro-life leaders, pastors and bishops

including the bishop of Rome!

Robert Colquhoun, our international outreach coordinator, and his wife Kara met Pope Francis on a trip to Rome, shortly after their wedding ... and offered him a copy of the 40 Days for Life book.

Well that was about a year ago. Just recently, Robert received a note from the Vatican Secretariat of State:

“The Holy Father greatly appreciates the dedicated
work that you and everyone involved in 40 Days for
Life are engaged in to promote respect for the lives
          of all unborn children.”
The letter went on to say that Pope Francis “assures
you of his prayerful support for you, your colleagues
and all those whose prayer, fasting and sacrifices are
saving countless lives and giving glory to God.”
