The dangerous RU 486 abortion drug has nearly claimed the lives of two million unborn children in the United States since its approval at the end of the Clinton administration.
The Food and Drug Administration, which approved the drug in late 1999, estimated in April 2011 that 1.52 million American women had taken RU-486 to induce an abortion. According to CDC reports, about 16.5 percent of the estimated 1.2 million abortions that take place annually in the United States involve the mifepristone drug, commonly known as RU 486. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Reports out today indicate abortion superstar Wendy Davis, who rose to national infamy by leading the filibuster against a bill to ban late-term abortions in Texas, will run for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2014.
During a speech and press conference last week, Davis called abortion sacred ground and indicated she may run for governor. Later, she indicated she thinks pro-life women dont understand abortion and she showed she has no understanding of the Kermit Gosnell case. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Pope Francis articulated a defense of human life from abortion: restating the Catholic Churchs longstanding opposition to the snuffing out of human life before birth and explaining that it must be protected from conception.
Can you make money and be religious? The Obama administration and a few courts have said no at least in the context of forcing business owners to violate their religion by purchasing abortion-inducing drugs for their employees. Thankfully, most courts have rejected this view, leaving individuals and their businesses free to go to work without checking their conscience at the door.
The question is not about corporations. We know corporations can exercise religion because houses of worship and other religious organizations are corporations. The Supreme Court has repeatedly protected religious liberty for corporations. The question is really about money, and whether the government can force groups that earn money to single-mindedly pursue profits, without regard for any other value. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
An entire life of hospitalization: how could that possibly be a happy or fulfilling experience? The BBC answered that question this week when it shared the inspiring story of Paulo Henrique Machado of Brazil, who has been hooked up to an artificial respirator full-time since he was an infant.
Losing his mother when he was only two days old, and contracting polio shortly thereafter, Paulo was dealt a tough hand early-on. The polio outbreak that infected Paulo also affected many other infants and children who were also hospitalized their entire lives. Seven of these children grew up with Paulo in his home-hospital, Sao Paulos Clinicas. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
I imagine talking to my unborn children. Its something Ive done probably since I was a teenager. I catch myself doing it constantly now; when Im driving, when Im watching my husband lead worship, after my time with the Lord, when I see a devastating story on the news, after I counsel a woman considering abortion, when Im writing childrens devotionals for work.
An article in the Vancouver Sun reported on the family of Margaret Bentley (82) that have launched a lawsuit against Fraser Health and the BC government concerning the fact that Bentley is being spoon fed at the Maplewood Care Facility in Abbotsford BC against the wishes of the family and allegedly against the previously stated wishes of Bentley.
The National Day of Remembrance (AbortionMemorials.com) is an effort of prayer and education focused on the approximately thirty locations throughout the United States in which the bodies of children killed by abortion are buried. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
USAID Official Shuts Down Workshop on How Abortion Hurts Women
A USAID employee shut down a workshop on abortion complications just hours before doctors were to present at a medical conference in South Korea. Her associate then physically blocked TV cameras from interviewing the physicians. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
It deeply saddens me when I receive unloving comments, from those who claim to be pro-life, about the abortion I had as a teenager. The way our society often causes post-abortive women to feel grieves my heart. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Communist Front Group Protests At Headquarters of National Pro-Life Group
An interesting handful of obviously confused abortion supporters dropped by our office to protest last week. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/

I read Frank Bruni every Sunday in the New York Times. I usually dont agree with him, heck I almost never do. But he is a talented writer and an articulate and passionate advocate for his views. Besides, I believe in reading differing opinions from my own. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
One year ago on August 13, 2012, Nellie Gray, foundress of the March for Life and pioneer of the pro-life movement, went home to be with God. On this, the first anniversary of her death, the March for Life is inviting local pro-lifers to join us for a mass in her memory at the Blessed John Paul II Shrine August 13, 2013, at 11:30 am. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
