Reid Admits the Purpose of ObamaCare
Why were Democrats willing to go to such extremes and take such political risks to ram through ObamaCare in clear opposition to the public will, given that the legislation is so awful that any fool could see it won’t work? Because it isn’t intended to work; it is intended to destroy our current system, so that the government will have left itself with no choice but total nationalization. We now have confirmation from one of the people most responsible for inflicting this deliberately destructive legislation — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid:“What we’ve done with Obamacare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever,” Reid said.That is, ObamaCare was meant as a stepping stone toward “single-payer” healthcare along the Soviet model, which Democrats did not yet have the political leverage to impose outright. Nobody was dim enough to believe that the chaotic, extravagantly expensive mess that is ObamaCare would actually be functional. The idea is first to destroy the insurance industry; then the government will have a vacuum to step into.
When then asked by panelist Steve Sebelius whether he meant ultimately the country would have to have a health care system that abandoned insurance as the means of accessing it, Reid said: “Yes, yes. Absolutely, yes.”
If we still had our former national character, this revelation alone would be enough to inspire the American people to shrug off the chains of ObamaCare, and to throw out of office every power-mad socialist who attempted to impose it. But then, if we still had our former national character, Obama and Reid would only be bad memories by now.
