Group Claims “Virgin Mary Should Have Aborted”
A
group of concerned Christians are calling on Facebook to remove a page
that promotes the notion that the Virgin Mary of the Bible should have
received an abortion. Titled “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted,”
the administrator of the page claims to “explain what really happened
in the biblical times, since the bible is full of lies.”
With just over 3,000 ‘Likes,’ Celene Schartner of Australia says the page not only demeans what Christians believe, but it is slanderous and hateful. It diminishes the right to life of every unborn infant in its mother’s womb by its very title and statement. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/

Bernadette
and Philip Smith were the proud parents of seven children – Philip
Jr., Delores, Soma, Titus, Isaac, Israel, and Eden – when they were
blessed to learn they would soon welcome an eighth child. But by the fourth
month of the pregnancy, during a routine ultrasound, doctors learned there
was a problem with the baby. The Smiths were told that their child had Trisomy
18, or Edward’s syndrome.

are engaging in a “war against women.” Conservatives, so the narrative
goes, fired the first shots by opposing taxpayer funded contraceptives and abortofacients

print edition of the New York Times today: “Theory on Pain Is Driving
Rules for Abortions,” by Erik Eckholm. I always try to give The Times
its due when they write a more-or-less balanced story, in this case of the
“Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.”
That these six completely accurate and descriptive words were not used—and the fact that the story starts with a dreadful first paragraph—should not detract us from reading a very useful story. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
