A Houston grand jury has refused to indict late-term abortionist Douglas Karpen after a months-long investigation into allegations of illegal late-term abortions and the killing of babies born alive at his two abortion clinics.
The refusal to indict Karpen is a gross miscarriage of justice. The grand jury has essentially freed Karpen to continue to violate Texas laws and take the lives of late-term babies that the law was meant to protect, said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. Its upsetting to know that the kind of brutality shown in the photos taken at his clinic will be allowed continue. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Phil Robertson: I Will Not Back Down From Standing on Biblical Principles
After the dustup over controversial comments pro-life Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson made that has caused him to be suspended by A&E, Robertson and his family have released a statement saying they will not back down from Biblical principles.
Robertson discusses in his GQ interview his religious beliefs and about sin, saying, start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Aaron and Amy Vawter were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second bundle of joy. Already parents to Micah, then 18 months, the couple went to have the routine 20 week ultrasound done for baby number two when doctors discovered some frightening problems with their babys heart. They were referred to a specialist at Seattle Childrens Hospital, where the prognosis for their baby only worsened.
Family Fighting Hospital Not to Kill Jahi McMath Wants Second Opinion From Neurologist
The intensity of the battle over a 13-year-old girl, declared brain-dead following a routine tonsillectomy performed last week ratcheted up several notches today as the attorney for the girls family said he would ask a judge to bring in an outside neurologist to examine Jahi McMath.
Eclipse of Reason is a graphic and deeply disturbing documentary put together by the late Dr. Bernard Nathanson, former abortionist turned pro-lifer who also produced the movie The Silent Scream. Eclipse of Reason shows a second trimester unborn baby being torn apart in a D&E abortion.
The movie was made some time ago, in the 1980s, and when watching it it is easy to feel sorrow at the fact that the same procedure so well documented in Eclipse of Reason is still taking place today, in many abortion clinics throughout the country. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
While there are some questionable assumptions, some limitations to the data, it is hard to ignore the clear implication of a recent study of teens who abort: that some parents, mothers in particular, are pushing their daughters to have abortions.
Thrivent has temporarily thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Lets hope its very temporarily, indeed.
I have been following the tragic case of Jahi McMath, who went to Oakland Childrens Hospital for a tonsillectomy and suffered a catastrophic complication, resulting in cardiac arrest. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
When Rene Pacyna went into labor in July seventeen weeks prior to her expected due date there was no telling what the outcome would be. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Americans are in favor of common sense restrictions on the morning after pill, found an NPR poll, which only reinforces the undercover video work Students for Life of America released last month, showing a minor girl being able to purchase Plan B and not Sudafed as well as revealing how simple it is for an adult male, who is having relations with a minor, to cover up his crime by buying the drug. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/

The Catholic Church is condemning a measure pending in the Belgian Parliament that would extend euthanasia to children with disabilities, in a move pro-life advocates worldwide had been fearing would come and expand an already much-abused euthanasia law even further. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
