Komen Affiliates Resume Funding Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz
Komen for the Cure has officially buckled to pressure from Planned Parenthood and 17 affiliates of the national breast cancer charity will provide grants for the abortion business this calendar year.

Komen had long been a subject of national controversy in which pro-life advocates initially boycotted Komen and then celebrated earlier this year as it appeared the breast cancer charity had made the decision to revoke funding for the abortion business. After massive public pressure, media attacks and lobbying from Planned Parenthood, Komen indicates the abortion business would be eligible for funding but did to say whether funding would be continued.

Leading pro-life groups had hoped Komen would keep their de-funding decision in place via a change in grant-making criteria making it so organizations like Planned Parenthood that do not do mammograms would no longer be eligible for so-called pass-through grants in which they merely provide referrals to legitimate medical centers and physicians who do.

However, according to a new Washington Post report, the Komen funding spigot for Planned Parenthood has been turned back on: At least 17 Planned Parenthood affiliates will be funded this year, about the same number that received grants in 2011, according to a tally provided by Komen. The total amount of the grants, which are for breast-cancer screening and other breast-health services, is still being worked out. Most recipients this year also received funds last year. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/komen-affiliates-resume-funding-planned-parenthood-abortion-biz/

Planned Parenthood s 40 Days of Prayer for Abortion Condemned
The outrage against the 40 Days of Prayer for Abortion campaign a California Planned Parenthood affiliate has put together has been exceptionally strong since LifeNews broke the story about the campaign earlier this week.

Matthew Clark of the American Center for Law and Justice, a pro-life legal group, underscores the opposition LifeNews has seen since our report hit.

He writes: Today we pray for all the staff at abortion clinics around the nation. May they be daily confirmed in the sacred care that they offer women. This is not a satirical prayer. This is the actual prayer of Planned Parenthood, the nation s largest abortion business. As Jay Sekulow, ACLJ Chief Counsel, has long said, Planned Parenthood worships at the altar of abortion. Now, here is their prayer guide. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/planned-parenthoods-40-days-of-prayer-for-abortion-condemned/

Pro-Life Enthusiasm For Romney Grows, Home State Group Endorses
As leading pro-life organizations like the National Right to Life Committee and Susan B. Anthony List issue endorsements and top pro-life activists like Jill Stanek line up behind Mitt Romney, pro-life enthusiasm for the likely Republican nominee is growing.

Now, Romney s home state group the organization that perhaps knows his conversion to the pro-life perspective and record as former governor of the Bay State better than any is endorsing him as well. The Massachusetts Citizens for Life Political Action Committee has issued its full endorsement for Romney as he potentially looks to take on pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

As the country s most pro-abortion president, Barack Obama has pursued a radical pro-abortion agenda, the organization told LifeNews. In contrast, as governor, Mitt Romney worked closely with MCFL. He takes a strong pro-life position and is committed to implementing policies to protect the unborn, the medically dependent, the disabled, and the elderly. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/pro-life-enthusiasm-for-romney-grows-home-state-group-endorses/

October Baby Pro-Life Movie Headed to More Theaters Today
The October Baby movie is headed to more theaters today and this weekend as it continues piling up successful figures at the box office and now faces attacks from pro-abortion groups.

After opening in nearly 400 theaters last month, October Baby heads into new territory beginning Friday when 223 new theaters begin showing what Courageous director Alex Kendrick calls, a great movie with a great message.

While the movie will be showing through Thursday at each of these new theaters, if you are near a new location, make plans to see it this weekend. A strong weekend showing will encourage theaters to keep the movie beyond its first week. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/october-baby-pro-life-movie-headed-to-more-theaters-today/

One More Time: Obamacare Funds Abortions. Here s Proof
In recent weeks there have been reports about an abortion surcharge contained within President Obama s signature healthcare law. Pro-abortion activists have been desperate to shove the issue under the carpet. They know full well public outrage will ensue if the law s hidden agenda is fully exposed to the American people in broad daylight.

Many pro-abortion bloggers and members of the media have tried to hide the reality of the abortion premium mandate a provision actually contained within Obamacare. But it s imperative that you fully understand the facts they re trying to hide.

Here s how the provision essentially works: An individual enrolled in an insurance plan that covers abortions through an employer, by choice or even unknowingly, must pay an added abortion surcharge of one dollar per month. With no choice of opting out of the plan, paying for this abortion coverage is imposed whether an individual wants to or not. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/one-more-time-obamacare-funds-abortions-heres-proof/

NOW: Stay at Home Mom Ann Romney Lacks Life Experience
As Democratic leaders seek to quickly bury the comments made by DNC adviser Hilary Rosen attacking Ann Romney for being a stay-at-home mother, pro-abortion groups are not retreating but rather fanning the fire.

Terry O Neill, President of the National Organization for Women (NOW), went on MSNBC to further attack Ann Romney, saying she lacks life experience and imagination to relate to most Americans. Ann Romney may not fit the mold for the radical feminist movement, but her full-time work to raise five boys and her battles against both breast cancer and multiple sclerosis are nothing less than admirable.

O Neill is sorely mistaken if she believes Ann Romney http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/now-stay-at-home-mom-ann-romney-lacks-life-experience/

Obama Admin Admits It Wrongly Excluded Public Comments on Mandate
In August 2011, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued an interim final rule on preventive services that provided a very narrow religious employer exemption to its mandated coverage for life-ending drugs and devices such as the abortion-inducing drug ella. At the time, HHS justified its decision to bypass the Administrative Procedure Act s (APA) public comment period because such an opportunity for public comment would be impractical and contrary to the public interest. In other words, not needed and not worth the time.

However, that rationale was refuted by admissions HHS made in its recent Advance Notice for Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR). http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/obama-admin-admits-it-wrongly-excluded-public-comments-on-mandate/

Pennsylvania Pro-Life Group Gets Behind Mitt Romney
The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation Political Action Committee has endorsed Republican Mitt Romney for President, citing his commitment to protecting unborn children and their mothers from harm and his opposition to the federal health care law. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/pennsylvania-pro-life-group-gets-behind-mitt-romney/

Obama Admin Has No Legal Justification for HHS Mandate
The state should never force anyone to perform an action he or she believes to be wrong, unless it has a good reason, not merely to have the action performed, but to insist that even those who find it wrong perform it. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/obama-admin-has-no-legal-justification-for-hhs-mandate/

Ohio Pro-Life Group Endorses Mitt Romney for President
The largest statewide pro-life organization in the presidential battleground state of Ohio has issued an endorsement for Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate seeking to take on pro-abortion President Barack Obama. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/ohio-pro-life-group-endorses-mitt-romney-for-president/

California Bill OKing Non-Doctors to Do Abortions Up Monday
California lawmakers will give consideration to legislation on Monday that would allow non-doctors to do abortions. Although California sees more abortions than any other state, paid for at taxpayer expense, abortion backers who once said claimed abortion should be between a woman and her doctor wan to push the envelope further. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/california-bill-oking-non-doctors-to-do-abortions-up-monday/

Obamacare Subsidizes Cancer-Causing Birth Control Drugs
As the Obama Administration s assault on religious liberties and individual freedom from the HHS mandate continues, the liberal, feminist blog Jezebel alerts readers that the injectable contraception shot, Depo-Provera, doubles a woman s risk of breast cancer. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/obamacare-subsidizes-cancer-causing-birth-control-drugs/

Complaint Says Ohio Abortion Practitioner Endangering Women
A complaint has been filed with the State Medical Board of Ohio against late-term abortion practitioner Martin Haskell alleging violations of the standards of patient care after an abortion patient was hospitalized last month. The complaint asks the state board to conduct a thorough review and take whatever steps are necessary to protect the public. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/complaint-says-ohio-abortion-practitioner-endangering-women/

Study: Couples With Children Live Longer Than Those Without
A new study seems to corroborate the notion that having children, and not abortions, is better for both women and children. Now, a new study from Australia shows women with six or more children were about 40 percent less likely to die during the 16-year follow-up than women with no children. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/study-parents-with-children-live-longer-than-those-without/

South Carolina Senate OKs Pro-Life Abortion-Born Alive Bill
Last night, the South Carolina Senate approved the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act to protect unborn children who are born alive after a failed abortion but may be purposefully left to die afterwards. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/13/south-carolina-senate-oks-pro-life-abortion-born-alive-bill/

Vermont Again Defeats Bill to Legalize Assisted Suicide
The Vermont legislature has defeated, for a second time this legislative session, an attempt to legalize assisted suicide in what could have made the state the third in the nation other than Oregon and Washington to allow the practice. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/12/vermont-again-defeats-bill-to-legalize-assisted-suicide/
