CNN Poll Has Romney Leading in Iowa, Rick Santorum Surging
A new CNN poll of the Republican presidential candidates in Iowa, the state leading off the GOP presidential campaign next week, shows 25 percent of Iowa voters support Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum is surging.

The former Massachusetts governor is ahead with Congressman Ron Paul of Texas in second with 22 percent. Santorum, the pro-life former Pennsylvania senator, comes in third with 16 percent well above the 5 percent he polled in the state in the CNN survey in November. Newt Gingrich, the former Speaker, places fourth with 14 percent of the vote.

In Iowa, both Romney and Paul are each up five points among likely caucus goers from a CNN/Time/ORC poll conducted at the start of December, CNN reports. he new survey indicates that Santorum, the former senator from Pennsylvania, is at 16% support, up 11 points from the beginning of the month, with Gingrich at 14%, down from 33% in the previous poll. Since Gingrich s rise late last month and early this month in both national and early voting state surveys, he s come under attack by many of the rival campaigns. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/cnn-poll-has-romney-leading-in-iowa-rick-santorum-surging/

Rick Perry Now Opposes Abortions in Cases of Rape, Incest
At a pro-life presidential forum last night, Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry announced that he had a change of heart on abortion in cases of rape or incest now opposing abortion in such rare cases.

Perry said his change of heart came after meeting with Rebecca Kiessling, a pro-life attorney who was born after her birthmother was a victim of sexual assault.

This is something that is relatively new and it goes back to a meeting with Rebecca Kiessling, who was at the The Gift of Life, Perry said about meeting her at a recent showing of the new movie. We had a fairly lengthy and heartfelt conversation about how she was conceived in rape. Looking in her eyes, I couldn t come up with an answer to defend exceptions for rape and incest. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/rick-perry-now-opposes-abortions-in-cases-of-rape-incest/

Planned Parenthood Pushing Teens to Secret Abortions in NH
As the new parental involvement law takes effect in New Hampshire, the nation s biggest abortion business is pushing teenagers into secret abortions that have them using a portion of the law to avoid informing their parents.

Under the new law, an abortion practitioner must provide written notice to a parent of a minor seeking an abortion 48 hours prior to doing the abortion. The law, as required by the U.S. Supreme Court, contains a judicial bypass provisions meant to protect teenagers in abusive home situations who worry about the consequences they face if divulging their pregnancy to their parents or guardian.

The bill contains both a judicial bypass measure and a medical emergency exception which allows for a condition that, on the basis of the physician s good-faith clinical judgment, so complicates the medical condition of a pregnant woman as to necessitate the immediate abortion of her pregnancy to avert her death or for which a delay will create serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/planned-parenthood-pushing-teens-to-secret-abortions-in-nh/

Mother With Cancer Sacrifices Her Life for Her Unborn Baby
Every so often somewhere in the world, news reports surface of mothers who practice the kind of selfless sacrifice that should be encouragement for anyone a willingness to sacrifice their own life for their unborn child.

In this latest case, Jenni Lake recently gave birth to a baby boy just one month before she turned 18. When lake found out she was pregnant, she decided to forgo treatment for tumors on her brain and spine so she could carry the baby to term and give birth.

Diana Phillips, Jenni s mother, said that, when Lake was admitted to the hospital as she told the nurse, I m done, I did what I was supposed to. My baby is going to get here safe. The nurse would later repeat the girl s words to comfort her family when Lake passed away 12 days after the baby was born.

Emily s List Ranks Gingrich as Worst Pro-Life Candidate
The pro-abortion political group Emily s List has released a new ranking of the Republican presidential candidates and it labels former Speaker Newt Gingrich as the worst of the GOP hopefuls seeking to defeat pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

Emily s List is releasing a scorecard on all of the candidates and sees Gingrich as the worst if only because he has refined his pro-life position and recently moved to supporting a position that life begins at conception or fertilization as opposed to saying it begins at implantation.

Gingrich s voting record on pro-life issues reflected the consensus pro-life views of the majority of Americans.

Gingrich voted in favor of a ban on partial-birth abortion. (President Clinton ultimately vetoed the bill and a ban was not signed into law until President Bush took office.) Gingrich also voted to cut federal funding to organizations that perform or promote abortions abroad, including the United Nations Population Fund, which is complicit in carrying out China http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/emilys-list-ranks-gingrich-as-worst-pro-life-candidate/

Anonymous Text Messages Attack Romney on Abortion in Iowa
Automated anonymous text messages sent to Iowa Republicans just days before they head to their presidential caucuses are telling them that Romney is supposedly not pro-life but relying on outdated quotes to make the claim.

Republicans in Iowa received cell phone text messages yesterday morning, according to MSNBC, saying, Romney exposed at 2012 caucuses. Romney pro life??

The text message lists an automated 515 area code phone number for recipients to call and it plays an automated message quoting Romney from 1994 more than a decade before he experienced a change of heart on abortion and converted to the pro-life position. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/anonymous-text-messages-attack-romney-on-abortion-in-iowa/

Abortion Practitioner in New Mexico to Retire on Friday
Local prolife advocates in New Mexico have confirmed that abortion practitioner Bruce Ferguson is retiring on December 30 after doing abortions destroying the lives of women and unborn children for 30 years.

Project Defending Life has confirmed that Ferguson s abortion facility will also close and made the confirmation in an undercover call to his abortion clinic. However, the pro-life advocates discovered Ferguson has not had any change of heart when it comes to abortion and hoped someone else would pick up his mantle as an abortion practitioner.

In a phone call, Ferguson told a pro-life advocate seeking additional information that he was retiring due to his health, the health of his family, and his own his sanity. He stated, Someone else needs to carry the burden now. Ferguson also mentioned as a reason for his retirement a steady decline in the number of women seeking abortions each year, which confirms national data showing abortions on the decline. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/abortion-practitioner-in-new-mexico-to-retire-on-friday/

Parents, do you know who is texting your kids? Anyone who has seen Planned Parenthood s disgusting websites for teens and its sex education programs will be devastated to learn that a one-on-one chat between a child and a Planned Parenthood operative is now only a text message away. The perverse, sex-belching abortion giant announced recently its In Case You re Curious texting program specifically targeting Denver area youth. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/planned-parenthood-texts-sex-information-to-teenage-kids/

Rape Exception: Why Do We Kill Babies Instead of Rapists?
I got into a debate with a pretty good friend about abortion the other day. She s typically a pro-life gal, but she has adopted (no pun intended) the GOP s get out of a debate alive exception to the rule that abortion is murder, unless it s the fetus of a rape victim, then it s just removal of lifeless tissue. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/rape-exception-why-do-we-kill-babies-instead-of-rapists/

Salon Article Claims Women Need Late-Term Abortions
Since when has killing a person become the answer to life s less-than-ideal circumstances? Definitely since Roe v. Wade allowed abortion on demand. But even before that, mothers and fathers from different cultures willingly killed their children some born and some unborn based on life s hard situations. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/28/salon-article-claims-women-need-late-term-abortions/
