In response to the recent typhoon disaster to hit the Philippines, CMMB is acting quickly to mobilize medicine and medical supplies for Typhoon Washi victims.

The typhoon and subsequent flooding have affected more than 167,000 people and have claimed more than 1,000 lives according to the Philippine government.

CMMB will work with our long time partners to ensure needed medications and aid reach typhoon victims. Your support is vital to our efforts.

Pope Benedict XVI has voiced concern and prayed for victims of Typhoon Washi.

"I want to assure the populations of the southern Philippines, hit by a violent tropical storm, of my closeness. I pray for the victims, mostly children, the homeless and the many missing," he said in Rome this week.

Your donation today will help us send life saving aid to the Philippines, and also help us fulfill our obligations to those who are already awaiting our shipments - people like Dr. Tom Catena in Sudan, our Medical Volunteers in Central America, and our patients and partners in Haiti.

Have a Blessed Christmas.

P.S. As you may know, a donor recently came forward offering us a $100,000 matching gift opportunity. Thanks to your support we have exceeded that goal, and this generous individual has offered to match an additional $88,000 in gifts made before December 31st. Thank you to all who have contributed for doubling your impact in the developing world.
