40 Days for Life Ends With 668 Babies Saved From Abortion
Today is Day 41. We take time now to look back at the blessings God has provided during the 40 Days for Life campaign that just ended, of course. But just as importantly, we also look to the future.
For this campaign, we have received reports of 668 babies spared from abortion that we know of!
Many of the local campaigns are still compiling reports, so it s highly likely that this number will increase as the national team receives more of their updates.

Obama: Supreme Court Won t Overturn Obamacare Law
President Barack Obama today, during a televised press conference, said in no uncertain terms that he doesn t believe the Supreme Court will overturn Obamacare, the abortion funding and rationing law pro-life groups oppose.
We are confident that this will be upheld because it should be upheld, Obama said at a joint news conference with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon. He added that the high court would be supposedly guilty of judicial activism by striking down the Obamacare law a majority of Americans oppose.
I m confident the Supreme Court will uphold the law, Obama said. That s not just my opinion, but also the opinion of legal experts across the entire political spectrum. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/obama-supreme-court-wont-overturn-obamacare-law/
Obama Admin Forced to Pay $120K After Targeting Pro-Lifer
The Obama administration has been forced to pay a pro-life advocate it targeted with a lawsuit $120,000 and it has dropped its case against the Florida woman helping women find abortion alternatives.
The administration lost one round of a legal battle it is waging in court against a Florida pro-life advocate a battle that saw the administration unfairly seek to punish a peaceful sidewalk counselor under a law meant to stop violence and intimidation.
Susan Pine is a sidewalk counselor. She counsels women who are considering abortion and provides help, resources, and support for women who choose life. Without any evidence of wrongdoing, Attorney General Holder accused Pine of obstructing the entrance to an abortion clinic in violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act ( FACE ). http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/obama-admin-forced-to-pay-120k-after-targeting-pro-lifer/
Biden: HHS Mandate Opponents Out of Touch With Reality
In a weekend interview, pro-abortion Vice-President Joe Biden claimed pro-life advocates who are opposed to the new Obama administration mandate forcing religious employers to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions are out of touch with reality.
Biden appeared on the Face the Nation Sunday morning talk show on CBS and told host Bob Schieffer that he found the recent debate over the mandate remarkable.
I just find it remarkable that the argument is even taking place, Biden said. I think it s totally out of touch with reality and totally out of touch with what the Independent voters of America think. He said such opposition violates the right of women to decide for themselves, whether or not they want to use contraception. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/biden-hhs-mandate-opponents-out-of-touch-with-reality/
New High: 61% See Repeal of Obamacare Law As Likely
A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows 61 percent of Americans, a new high, believe the Supreme Court will overturn the Obamacare law that has strong opposition from pro-life groups because of rationing and abortion funding concerns.
Following a week of highly-publicized hearings before the U.S. Supreme Court on the constitutionality of President Obama s health care law, most voters continue to favor repeal of the law, and more than ever think it s likely to be repealed, Rasmussen pollster Scott Rasmussen said.
The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 54% of likely voters at least somewhat favor repeal of the health care law, including 41% who strongly favor it. Forty percent (40%) are at least somewhat opposed to repeal, with 25% who are strongly opposed. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/new-high-61-see-repeal-of-obamacare-law-as-likely/
Komen Founder Apologizes Over Planned Parenthood Issue
The founder of Komen for the Cure, the breast cancer charity that found itself in a battle over abortion when it apparently decided to end contributions to Planned Parenthood and then indicated the abortion business would still be eligible to apply for donations, is now apologizing to Congress for how the organization handled the matter.
In a letter seeking federal funding, Susan G. Komen for the Cure founder Nancy Brinker apologized for the organization s mistakes tht came during the national controversy over the donations.
In the past few months, we made mistakes that ultimately raised questions in the community about our commitment to the mission of saving lives, Brinker wrote. We take full responsibility for these missteps and we extend our deepest apologies. Our commitment to ending breast cancer for all women remains unwavering and sincere. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/komen-founder-apologizes-over-planned-parenthood-issue/
My Former Thought: I don t care about the unborn
It started with this confession. My face to the floor of Bartle Hall during The Call in Kansas City in 2007. My 7-week-old son asleep next to me in the stroller. Lou Engle s voice thundering in the background.
But I know that you care, God. I want to care about what you care about. I want my heart to move over the things that move your heart.
And that was it. There were no tears. Just an honest confession of my sin and an earnest desire to grow in intimacy with Jesus. In that moment I opened up enough to allow the Lord to move me out of my complacency and into his heart. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/my-former-thought-i-dont-care-about-the-unborn/

Donate Umbilical Cord Blood: The Gift of Life
The Catholic Church opposes life-saving stem-cell research! How many times have we seen this claim repeated by credulous reporters? More importantly, how many of us know that this claim is completely false?. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/02/donate-umbilical-cord-blood-the-gift-of-life/
Outrage for Trayvon Martin, None for Black Babies Abortion Kills
One of the human race s favorite pastimes is being right. I personally love it. You probably do, too.
