Newt Gingrich: Pro-Life But Says Life Begins at Implantation
Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is pro-life on the issue of abortion and frequently voted pro-life during his days in Congress. However, in a new interview, the former Speaker shows he needs to be educated on the scientific understanding that life begins at conception.
In a new interview with Jake Tapper of ABC News, Gingrich said human life begins at implantation rather than conception, which science has established as the starting point for human life.
Tapper asked him, Abortion is a big issue here in Iowa among conservative Republican voters and Rick Santorum has said you are inconsistent. The big argument here is that you have supported in the past embryonic stem cell research and you made a comment about how these fertilized eggs, these embryos are not yet pre-human because they have not been implanted. This has upset conservatives in this state who worry you don t see these fertilized eggs as human life. When do you think human life begins?

Pelosi Calls Catholic Bishops Lobbyists For Obamacare Concerns
Nancy Pelosi is simply unable to honor the Catholic Church to which she claims to be a member as she has put her foot in her mouth again by claiming the nation s Catholic bishops are lobbyists because they oppose an Obamacare mandate.
The Catholic bishops, and a considerable number of pro-life groups, are upset that the Obama administration is considering implementing a new rule regarding Obamacare and whether insurance companies will be forced to include birth control and drugs that can possibly cause abortions under preventative care.
The contraception mandate rule has drawn strong opposition from pro-life groups in part because the religious exemption it contains is very narrow and could force certain Catholic and other religious groups to pay for insurance coverage for employees. They say that violates its conscience rights and religious views because of the birth control coverage and coverage for drugs like the morning after pill and ella that can cause abortions.

Komen Affiliate in Orange County Funds Planned Parenthood
The Orange County, California affiliate of the Komen for the Cure breast cancer awareness organization has issued yet another grant for the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The grant furthers the concerns pro-life advocates have had for years about the ties between Komen and the abortion industry.
The orange County Komen affiliate is holding its Grants Award Breakfast today at the Westin South Coast Plaza where it will award more than $1.5 million in grants to 15 nonprofit organizations. The OC Metro newspaper indicates one of the 2012 award recipients is Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino counties, which runs abortion businesses in southern California.
Lisa Wolter, executive director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure s local chapter, said, The organizations [that will receive] grants from our affiliate in 2012 are instrumental in helping us bring lifesaving support services and education initiatives to underserved groups in the community.

Planned Parenthood Marks World AIDS Day, Told STD Man to Give Blood
Planned Parenthood marked World AIDS Day yesterday but the abortion business came under fire earlier this year for telling a man with a sexually transmitted disease to give blood.
On Twitter, Planned Parenthood urged people, On World Aids Day, find your local Planned Parenthood health center. The tweet included a link to a page on its web site that provides a method of locating Planned Parenthood s abortion and abortion-referral facilities.

Marie Stopes Doc Loses License, Almost Killed Woman in Abortion
A Marie Stopes International abortion practitioner has been struck from the list of licensed physicians in England after he nearly killed a woman in a failed abortion.
Phanuel Dartey perforated the uterus of an Ireland woman who went to the UK for an abortion and left parts of the unborn baby inside of her after supposedly completing the abortion he did at the Marie Stopes International Clinic in Ealing where he worked.
The woman, according to a report in the Independent, returned home following the abortion but was late taken tot he hospital where she remained in critical condition for two months after the botched abortion.

Chicago Area Abortion Biz Dimensions Medical Center Closes
We were thrilled to find out yesterday that the Dimensions Medical Center abortion facility in Des Plaines, Illinois has closed!
Dimensions was one of seven Chicago area abortion facilities owned by the notorious Vinod Goyal, and since last year it has seen a regular pro-life sidewalk counseling and prayer presence thanks to the tireless efforts of Northwest Families for Life (NWFL), a group of grassroots activists headed by local residents Maria Goldstein and Laura Vandercar.
The League was happy to help get Northwest Families off the ground last year. Shortly after NWFL launched, the League s Joe, Ann, and Eric Scheidler met with Maria and Laura to offer advice and give them a set of signs to use during the times of their abortion clinic witnessing. (These signs direct women to a nearby pregnancy resource center, and they ve proven so effective that abortion clinic workers have repeatedly tried to steal them!)

Salon Writer Upset Twilight Movie Has Pro-Life Theme
Yesterday, Mary Elizabeth Williams, a staff writer for Salon, wrote about Hollywood s aversion to portraying abortion in popular culture.
After drawing on a number of examples from recent movies like The Last King of Scotland, The Ides of March, and Crazy Stupid Love to emphasize her point that Hollywood seems to shy away from the reality that 22% of all pregnancies in the United States result in abortion, she turns her sights onto the latest Twilight movie: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
It s evident she s unhappy with the franchise s creator for buying into the movie industry s fad of portraying yet another pro-life scenario a choice she attributes to a cheap shot attempt at inflating the story line. She finally ends her diatribe to an unrealistic industry by commenting, it s absurd that supposedly progressive Hollywood remains so backward about acknowledging [abortion].
