Congressman-elect Bera hires pro-abortion staff

To the victor belongs the spoils

Bera

The following comes from a December 13 story in the India Times. Bera defeated GOP sitting congressman Dan Lugren.

Washington: Ami Bera, the only Indian- American who would be serving in the 113th US Congress, today hired two key aides, including one from the community, to help him perform his duties as a US lawmaker.

Mini Timmaraju, also an Indian-American, who most recently served as Director of the Office of the President at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and a former District Director for a Member of Congress, will be his Chief of Staff, 47-year-old Bera announced.

Timmaraju

In her role at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Timmaraju managed the office of PPFA President Cecile Richards and partnered with executive management to impact the strategic direction of the organisation….

Bera also announced that Faith Whitmore will be his District Director. “Faith has invaluable ties to the Sacramento community and years of experience advocating for the area’s most vulnerable residents,” Bera said.

Whitmore

“She will help ensure that my work in DC reflects the needs of our district, and that our office provides outstanding service to constituents,” he said.

Whitmore currently works as the executive director of the Francis House Center, one of Sacramento’s most recognised and effective non-profit organisations that provides relief and resources to the region’s homeless community.

Editor: The following comes from a March 9 story on LifeSiteNews.com.

Whitmore told Sacramento’s News 10-TV that a priest personally explained to her in January that the diocese would no longer collect funds for the organization because of her strong “support for Planned Parenthood, because I believe that Planned Parenthood is the foremost educational health care provider to women, especially to poor women.”

While serving as pastor of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, she conducted same-sex “marriage” ceremonies in defiance of her denomination’s ban on doing so.
