After repeatedly reintroducing the legislation for 14 years, the Philippines lower House has voted 113 to 104 to pass the controversial RH bill at second reading – the most difficult stage.

One bill passed the state Senate 27-10 and calls for more stringent licensing of abortion clinics; the other passed out of the House Insurance Committee into the full House and would allow health care providers to refuse service based on moral objections.

Euthanasia activists always promise that the killing will be strictly controlled. That's the sales job. Once euthanasia/assisted suicide become legal and/or culturally accepted, all bets are off.
