Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Mary's Shelter COUNTDOWN to Christmas

We are counting down the days until Christmas! To get into the holiday spirit, we thought we would share with you fun facts about Mary's Shelter for the 12 days before Christmas. So here's our fun fact for today!

8 DAYS LEFT: Our housemothers leave an average of 8 housekeeping notes on the beds of residents every week.

These notes are gentle reminders that daily chores were not performed up to our standards. Housekeeping notes range from friendly suggestions about how to reduce clutter to strong warnings about using furniture polish on floors. The ladies earn points from completing their chores that they can use for shopping in our beautifully organized and impeccably managed storage room, which we fondly call "The Boutique".
