The day has finally arrived - today we celebrate 100 Years of Healing and Hope. We are delighted and proud to announce that in commemoration of CMMB’s Centennial anniversary, Mayor Michael Bloomberg issued a proclamation announcing December 17th, 2012 as “CMMB Day” in New York City. The proclamation states: New York City is proud to be home to the Catholic Medical Mission Board. Their work is a tremendous tribute to the spirit of generosity that defines our city, and their efforts have enhanced the lives of individuals in developing countries and saved lives during times of emergency. Together, we applaud them on a century of leadership in faith-based healthcare, and look forward to everything they will accomplish in the future to create a more equitable world. New York City has been home to CMMB for the past century, and we couldn't have asked for a better anniversary gift from the city we call home. As we celebrate CMMB’s 100 years of service today, we also recognize the loyalty and generosity of our donors. Your support and dedication has been crucial to our accomplishments over the past century. We are grateful to all of you who have made our work possible. Sincerely,
Bruce Wilkinson President & CEO Catholic Medical Mission Board |
