Dear Friends For Life, The Jaffe Memo is Planned Parenthood's frightening anti-population agenda. Former Planned Parenthood manager Abby Johnson reminded us this week of the Jaffe Memo, a document produced by Planned Parenthood in 1969 at the request of the U.S. government. Frederick Jaffe, whose name the memo bears, was vice president of Planned Parenthood - World Population at the time.
The memo lists proposals for population reduction, many of which we see tragically fulfilled today. Among them: Restructure family: a) postpone or avoid marriage, b) alter image of ideal family size; encourage increased homosexuality; educate for family limitation; require women to work and provide few child care facilities; abortion and sterilization on demand; allow certain contraceptives to be distributed non-medically; improve contraceptive technology; make contraception truly available and accessible to all. The Jaffe Memo is one more confirmation of the evil that lurks beneath the surface of Planned Parenthood.
God Bless,
Fr. Jerry, OMI

(Life): "Five Million Pakistanis Still Need Help In Wake of Floods" - More than five million Pakistanis are now estimated to require humanitarian assistance as a result of this year's floods, and almost half of those in need are children. Five million in need are mainly in Sindh and Balochistan provinces, with 25 per cent of them women and 50 per cent children. The most urgent risks to children are those related to safe water and malnutrition.

ITEM #1: Sri Lanka to consider law allowing abortion of 'defective fetuses'
Secretary of Child Development and Women's Affairs, Sumithra Rahubadda, said discussions were planned with the Health Ministry and the Ministry of Justice and Law Reforms to change the law to allow abortion if "ultrasound scans and other tests" show evidence that the unborn child is "physically or mentally defective."

ITEM #2: Armenian Study: Induced Abortion Nearly Triples Breast Cancer Risk
Khachatryan's team reported a statistically significant 13% increased breast cancer risk for every one year delay of a first full term pregnancy (FFTP), with delayed FFTPs until ages 21-30 or after age 30 resulting in 2.21-fold and 4.95-fold increased risks respectively, as opposed to women with FFTPs before age 20. (Abortion is often used to delay FFTPs.) Giving birth resulted in a 64% reduced risk.

ITEM #3: Thanksgiving Gift of Life
I received the best gift of all this Thanksgiving; my 38 year-old son! Why is this so important to tell women in prison? Because they are the fastest growing inmate population and over 60% have children less than 18 years of age. Many face pregnancy and birth while incarcerated. They have lost their children in a million different ways. My story gave them incredible hope and reminded them they are loved by God more than they can imagine.

ITEM #4: PAKISTAN: Custom of child marriages violates human rights law, mock UN conventions!
Throughout the world, marriage is regarded as a moment of celebration and a milestone in adult life. Sadly, as this article makes clear, the practice of early marriage gives no such cause for celebration. While much of the impact remains hidden, it is absolutely clear that millions of under-age children - particularly girls - suffer negative consequences.

ITEM #5: ASIA: No end to violence against women without access to justice
Incidences of violence against women are not isolated or sporadic, but a daily occurrence in Asian countries. While women are subjected to various forms of violence in private and public domains, such as sexual assault, rape and acid throwing, the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) wishes to draw attention to the increasing tendency of violations perpetrated by state agents, mostly the police and military, in the form of torture, rape, extrajudicial killing and being used as sex slaves in military torture cells.

ITEM #6: South Korean Police Probe Organ Transplant Tourism to China
According to South Korean police, the crime group has sourced organs for 94 liver cancer sufferers since 2006. They sneak patients into mainland China, giving them false Chinese identifications to undergo transplant surgery. The men collected more than $85,000 for each transplant. Four of the patients died after surgery.

ITEM #7 HIV-positive children face adoption obstacles
Of the 2.5 million HIV-positive children in the world, only seven have been adopted by Australian families.

ITEM #8: India's Proposed Two-Child Policy Would Push Abortions
The southern Indian state of Kerala might be the next in a long line of governments attempting to destroy their own greatest resource: their people.

ITEM #9: United Nations Wrong to Pressure Peru to Legalize Abortion
In one of the most recent acts of social imperialism by the United Nations, the CEDAW Committee determined that Peru must compensate a girl for being denied an abortion and liberalize its abortion policies.

ITEM #10: Adult Stem-Cell Therapies Are the Future, Scientist Says
Adult stem cells, and not embryonic stem cells, are what all scientists in this field of research should be working on, says Dr. Peter Hollands.

ITEM #11: Are we sleepwalking through the great infanticide?
When The human mind can hold onto blatant contradictions, but in order to do so it must block out certain unpleasant truths. One such uncomfortable truth has now come knocking at the door in Philadelphia, where a "house of horrors" abortion clinic was discovered early this year. At this clinic viable babies were outright murdered after their births had been induced and they had been fully delivered. Clinic staff have testified that on hundreds of occasions, second and third trimester babies that were breathing, moving and even crying were slaughtered by having their necks slit or their spines severed.

ITEM #12: On World AIDS Day, Let's Start Being Honest by Teaching Kids that Male Homosexual Sex is High Risk
Stop pretending that all lifestyles are at equal risk for AIDS -- because HIV is NOT behaviorally -- or lifestyle-neutral. Instead, teach students in school health classes the DOCUMENTED REALITY that certain behaviors, especially male homosexual sex, are especially high-risk for contracting HIV (and other STDs like hepatitis).
