Lifeissues Newsletter #626

Lifeissues.net: clear thinking about crucial issues
Dear Friends for Life,

Melinda Gates - Control of Population: Seeing population control as a prime solution to poverty, Melinda Gates aims to flood the developing world with contraceptives and abortifacients. A cornerstone to this effort is the development of a new injectable contraceptive that works similar to the present Depo-Provera. While the current form requires an intramuscular injection by a medical professional, this new form is a self-administered subcutaneous injection. Ms. Gates hopes that the new effort will bring contraception to over 100 million women worldwide primarily is Sub-Sahara Africa and in South Asia.

Population in Muslim Country?: Policy makers at the United Nations and elsewhere, particularly in the Muslim world, have barely noticed that the fertility rates of Muslim populations around the world have sharply dropped.

God Bless,
Jerry Novotny, OMI

(The Difference is LIFE) "Fidelity to one's word, to one's promises, and to one's vows to God is not something that can be taken for granted. This should be obvious, for we live in a time of massive infidelity. Contracts are broken, infidelity in marriage is not only practiced but even lauded in magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Playboy (not to mention worse publications), divorce is edging up to almost one for every two marriages. Many religious men and women have abandoned their solemn lifetime commitment to God in order to embrace some kind of social or political work." - Consistent Life.

ITEM #1: The Virtue of Fidelity

Fidelity to one's word, to one's promises, and to one's vows to God is not something that can be taken for granted. This should be obvious, for we live in a time of massive infidelity. Contracts are broken, infidelity in marriage is not only practiced but even lauded in magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Playboy (not to mention worse publications), divorce is edging up to almost one for every two marriages. Many religious men and women have abandoned their solemn lifetime commitment to God in order to embrace some kind of social or political work.

****************************************

ITEM #2: Concern as Australians turn to Thailand for surrogates

The swing towards Thailand is the direct result of a decision by India to only grant medical visas for surrogacy to heterosexual couples who have been married for at least two years.
****************************************

ITEM #3:  Patient death raises issue of hospice's drug regimen

Shalynn Womack blames her mother's death on hospice's use of potent prescription drugs.

****************************************

ITEM #4: Japan's population falls by record level

Japan’s population fell by a record 0.22 percent to 127.515 million as of last Oct. 1, while people aged 65 or older surpassed the 30 million mark for the first time, the government said Tuesday.

ITEM #5: Gosnell's abortion atrocities no 'aberration': Column

"If I talk, maybe people will make sure it won't happen again." That's what 20-year-old Desiree Hawkins told me last week as she recounted the horror of visiting abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell in December 2009. The jury in Gosnell's trial for the alleged murders of multiple babies and one woman heard closing arguments Monday afternoon, but they won't hear from Hawkins.
****************************************
ITEM #6: Margaret was a joy for her two short days
Last December in 'Weekend Review', Gemma O'Doherty reported the moving story of Hilary Ní Lorcháin. The 33-year-old Dublin historian and her husband John were looking forward to the birth of their first child when they discovered their baby had Edwards syndrome and would not survive more than a few days. Margaret was born just before Christmas. Today Hilary shares the precious short hours they spent together.

****************************************

ITEM #7 Philippine prelate: don't vote for candidates who support abortion, divorce
Emphasizing that the Church does not endorse political candidates, the vice president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines said in a pastoral letter that Catholics should not vote for candidates who support abortion, divorce, or same-sex marriage.
****************************************

ITEM #8: Planned Parenthood, Quinacrine, and Racist Population Control Agenda
At the root of Planned Parenthood is a pure and unadulterated racist evil. This time, their racist population control agenda centers around a dangerous drug, not well known to the general public, called Quinacrine. Planned Parenthood embraces and continues support for the global distribution and use of a dangerous sterilization drug called Quinacrine. This drug is such an abomination to women's health that no government agency in the world has approved its use and even some pro-choice women's groups oppose it.  Just like abortion and dangerous contraceptive drugs such as Norplant and Depo-Provera, Planned Parenthood and their ilk target the poor and politically powerless women of color around the globe for its use.
****************************************

ITEM #9: Scientists Pressure Women to Sell Eggs for $50,000 or More

There's gold in them thar hills! Ounce for ounce, human eggs are probably the most valuable commodity on the planet, with highly intelligent and beautiful university women offered $50,000 or more for their ova for use in eugenic IVF.

****************************************

ITEM #10: Japan leads the world in population collapse

The report stated that, for the first time, the elderly outnumber children aged 14 and under. The island has a projected population of 120 million in 2025, but only 95 million by 2050.
****************************************
ITEM #11: Abortion Doctor: I Would Leave Babies to Die Born Alive After Abortion
IIn a second undercover video Live Action has released in two days, another abortion clinic staffer acknowledge leaving babies to die following failed abortions. The videos show there are other abortion clinics, abortion practitioners and staff who, like Kermit Gosnell, would leave babies to die after failed abortions.
**************************************** ITEM #12: India: more than 48 thousand children abused between 2001-2011
Statistics revealed in a report by the Asian Centre for Human Rights (ACHR). The main victims are girls, mostly assaulted in state-run orphanages and institutions. Card. Gracias, president of the Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI), tells AsiaNews: "The protection of children is at the heart of the education, social and health care ministry of the Catholic Church in India."
