Obama Hires Planned Parenthood Official to Run Campaign in NC
President Barack Obama has worked closely with Planned Parenthood to promote abortion since his election in 2008 and that relationship grew closer as he has hired a former abortion business official to run his campaign in North Carolina.

The Obama campaign hired Lindsay Siler, the former director of public policy for Planned Parenthood Health Systems, to head its efforts in North Carolina, one of the pivotal battleground states Obama took from the Republican column in 2008 to pave his way to the White House.

In 2007, Siler worked for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, Obama s former Democratic rival turned Secretary of State, and now she is excited to help perhaps the most pro-abortion president since Roe v. Wade get another four years to force Americans to fund abortions and the Planned Parenthood abortion business domestically and abroad with taxpayer dollars.

They were truly building a collective voice, the grass-roots organization we ve all dreamt about, she told the Charlotte Observer about what she saw in the Obama campaign in 2008 so, when asked to head up the North Carolina shop this time, she added, there was no way I was going to pass that up. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/obama-hires-planned-parenthood-official-to-run-campaign-in-nc/

Obama Admin Blocks Texas De-Funding of Planned Parenthood
The Obama administration has turned down a request from Texas to run its Title X family planning program, funded with federal taxpayer dollars, without funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

The adminsitration sent a letter to inform the Texas Health and Human Services Commission of its intent to deny a request to extend the Medicaid Women s Health Program if Texas complies with its law banning contractors that perform or promote elective abortions or affiliate with entities that perform or promote elective abortions.

Earlier this year, Texas yanked about $64 million in funding from Planned Parenthood and directed the funds to agencies that do not do abortions. In conjunction with that, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission submitted a request to the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services to continue its family planning program without funding Planned Parenthood or other abortion agencies.

As it has in Indiana and New Hampshire, the Obama administration denied the request and, according to the Texas Tribune, Cindy Mann, director of the federal agency, wrote a letter to Texas officials today saying its request is a violation of the federal Social Security Act. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/obama-admin-blocks-texas-de-funding-of-planned-parenthood/

Sales of New Bible Help Planned Parenthood-Funding Komen
The sign might as well read, Buy a Bible and support abortion!

In the latest twist of commercialism invading Christianity, now breast cancer pink has merged with the Word of God. The Susan G. Komen Foundation, who as recently as last week was handing out cash to the nation s number one abortion provider, makes the latest thematic Bible stand out on retailers shelves across the nation. WalMart.com describes it this way:

The Here s Hope Breast Cancer Bible is a reminder that God has not forgotten you, a friend, or loved one who has been impacted by breast cancer. Not only will you find encouragement and inspiration through testimonies from breast cancer survivors but more importantly you ll encounter God s life-sustaining words for you.

Of course there s a big problem with this Bible. While the text of the original canon inside is true, approximately 5% the purchase will go to Komen who, last year manages to give over half a million dollars to the abortion provider Planned Parenthood. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/sales-of-new-bible-help-planned-parenthood-funding-komen/

Misleading Calls Claim Newt Gingrich Not Pro-Life on Abortion
A little-known Iowa pro-life organization is running misleading robocalls in Iowa telling republican voters that former Speaker Newt Gingrich, the leading GOP presidential candidate in most polls now, is not pro-life on abortion.

An organization calling itself Iowa Pro-Life Action, which supports a personhood amendment in the state, is behind the calls which attempt to make it appear Gingrich promoted abortion during his time as a Georgia congressman even though he maintained a 98% pro-life voting record on more than 70 votes.

Dear friend of the unborn as we approach the Iowa Caucuses, it s important for is to know who supports the rights of the unborn and who just talks the talk, the calls claim, according to pro-life Daily Caller reporter Matt Lewis, who obtained a transcript of them.

The call continues: You see while multiple GOP nominees may be trying to hide their views on life Newt Gingrich s record is clear. Gingrich used his power as Speaker of the House to fight for abortion rights for women in nearly all cases. Gingrich threatened pro-life legislators who were fighting for unborn babies, calling those pro-life legislators extreme . Newt said they were going to get hurt . Gingrich even taught pro-abortion legislators how to use parliamentary tools to help pass pro-abortion bills. Please take a moment to call Newt s Iowa office today. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/10/misleading-calls-claim-newt-gingrich-not-pro-life-on-abortion/

I Tried to Take My Life to Erase the Pain of My Abortion
What does it feel like to hurt yourself on purpose? What is it like when the switch clicks in your brain and the hand raises, then lowers, the blade over your own skin?

Does it feel right? Does it feel crazy (like it should)? Does it feel better? The moment just before contact, when the anticipation of release is tantalizingly palpable and you could stop, but don t what compels the hand to continue? What does it feel like when cold, hard, sharp, smooth metal makes contact with warm, pulsing, soft, fragile flesh?

I can tell you. For me, it felt right. It felt better. And it did not feel crazy (like it should). http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/i-tried-to-take-my-life-to-erase-the-pain-of-my-abortion/

Rick Santorum: Cut Federal Funding for Planned Parenthood
As he campaigned in Iowa on Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum has restated his support for cutting off federal taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Santorum made a stop at Tabernacle Baptist Church where he emphasized his pro-life views and talked about his efforts during his time as a Pennsylvania senator in the 1990s when he led the battle to ban partial-birth abortions.

[The abortion] is an inhumanity that should not occur in this country, Santorum said, according to the Daily Iowan. [Tax dollars] should not be used for things that are morally objectionable.

Although Santorum called for ending tax subsidies to the abortion business, Christina Carberry, the president of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance at the University of Iowa, told the newspaper she disagreed. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/rick-santorum-cut-federal-funding-for-planned-parenthood/

Penn Pressures LifeNews to Cut Story on Abortion-Breast Cancer
Last month, LifeNews reported on a new study published by scientists who examined diabetes mellitus type 2, reproductive factors, and breast cancer finding a statistically significant association showing a 2.86-fold increased breast cancer risk from a single induced abortion.

The study, published in Taylor & Francis, also found that delaying a first full-term pregnancy, which is frequently done by women having abortions, also raises the breast cancer risk wheras giving birth resulted in a 64% reduced risk. Although the researchers confirmed dozens of other studies showing the abortion-breast cancer link, they discounted their own findings.

Sarah Kagan of the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania was one of the co-authors of the new study and, shortly after publishing our report on it and the abortion-breast cancer risk it presented, Penn officials contacted LifeNews to pressure us to remove the article about it. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/penn-pressures-lifenews-to-cut-story-on-abortion-breast-cancer/

Democrat Christmas Party at Planned Parenthood Faces Protests
Democrats in Houston decided to throw their annual Christmas holiday party at the new Planned Parenthood late-term abortion business, but the faced protests from pro-life advocates. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/democrat-christmas-party-at-planned-parenthood-faces-protests/

Planned Parenthood: All About Abortion, All the Time
The next time you hear a pro-abortion Planned Parenthood supporter claim that Planned Parenthood is about so much more than abortions, and that their true aim is to provide women s health services, remember this. Planned Parenthood continually lobbies for and in fact promotes abortion on demand, unrestricted, and unregulated. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/planned-parenthood-all-about-abortion-all-the-time/

Five Myths About Pro-Life People and How to Refute Them
There are a lot of negative stereotypes about the pro-life movement. I could easily write a list of 20 or more. These five, though, are the ones I personally encounter most often, and in the most capital letters. You ll probably find them familiar. If you don t know how to argue against these, you should. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/five-myths-about-pro-life-people-and-how-to-refute-them/

NBC Mocks Tim Tebow as God s Quarterback, Cites Pro-Life Ad
In a report for Monday s NBC Today, correspondent Peter Alexander described the rise of Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, noting how the NFL player s devout Christian faith has earned him the nickname of God s Quarterback. Alexander went on to declare: Many Americans were first introduced to Tebow during this controversial anti-abortion ad that aired during the 2010 Super Bowl. . http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/nbc-mocks-tim-tebow-as-gods-quarterback-cites-pro-life-ad/

Charges Dropped Against Man Killing Father in Assisted Suicide
Last year a Connecticut trial judge rejected a lawsuit by right to die advocates seeking to overturn the Connecticut ban on assisted suicide. While their lawsuit technically wasn t successful, it seems their public campaign to normalize suicide for the sick may have still had an impact. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/charges-dropped-against-man-killing-father-in-assisted-suicide/

University of Minnesota Stem Cell Class Needs Some Ethics
The University of Minnesota is set to offer a new undergraduate course dealing exclusively with stem cells. Although it will be a science class, one part will be about stem cell history and probably touch on the ethics of destroying human embryos for their stem cells. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/12/university-of-minnesota-stem-cell-class-needs-some-ethics/
