Planned Parenthood Attacks Newt Gingrich s Pro-Life Record
Newt Gingrich is the latest whipping boy for the Planned Parenthood abortion business as it has taken on Republican candidate Mitt Romney in recent weeks and now trains its sights on Gingrich as he has climbed in the polls.

In a new blog post on its political action web site, the abortion business called him a featured chump, saying, Gingrich may have a reputation for big ideas, but his record on women s health can best be characterized as backward and wrong. With his rapid rise in the polls, he s catching our attention too as a Featured Chump.

By replacing the world abortion with women s health, Planned Parenthood makes it look like Gingrich s longstanding pro-life record in Congress he voted pro-life 98 percent of the time according to the National Right to Life Committee is one of voting against women.

During his 20-year stint in Congress, Newt Gingrich earned his anti-women s health stripes, Planned Parenthood claims. Representative Gingrich cast 74 votes on reproductive rights, and all but two of them were anti-women s health putting him on the wrong side of women s health 97 percent of the time.

Planned Parenthood complains: If anything, Gingrich s position on women s health has gotten WORSE since he left office in 1999. Just a few weeks ago, Gingrich said he supports a federal life at conception amendment and thinks Congress should use its authority to define life and therefore undo all Roe v. Wade for the entire country in one legislative action. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/planned-parenthood-attacks-newt-gingrichs-pro-life-record/

HHS Says No to Teens Buying Plan B Without Prescription
In a rare move, the Health and Human Services Department overruled a decision by the Food and Drug Administration to make the morning after pill available to teenagers without a prescription.

The Obama administration was examining the possibility of selling the morning after pill to teenagers and the FDA had until today to respond to a request from the maker of the Plan B drug to sell it on the shelves and not behind the pharmacist s counter. However, although the FDA initially approved the decision, the HHS department overruled it.

The FDA has already taken the health and safety of women out of the hands of doctors. The FDA originally approved the morning after pill at the end of the Clinton administration in 1999 and, in 2006, it was approved for nonprescription use for women 18 and older. Previously, a federal court ordered the Food and Drug Administration to reconsider its decision preventing minors from purchasing the morning after pill without a prescription.

Now, according to the Washington Post, FDA Administrator Margaret Hamburg said she had approved selling the morning after pill to kids but said Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius rejected the decision. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/teens-will-not-get-non-prescription-access-to-plan-b-drug/

Former Planned Parenthood Workers Back Congressional Probe
Seven former Planned Parenthood employees have written a letter to a congressman whose committee is conducting an investigation of the Planned Parenthood abortion business and they see the probe is definitely needed.

The seven former employees of affiliates of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which is under congressional investigation for possible misuse of taxpayer funds, sent a letter to Chairman Fred Upton, a pro-life Michigan Republican, and Ranking Member Henry Waxman, a pro-abortion California Democrat. The two are the top members from each party on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the letter encourages them and subcommittee chair Rep. Cliff Stearns, a Florida Republican who is the primary lawmaker behind the investigation, to move ahead.

The letter, which offers their public testimony against their former employer, is getting circulated on Capitol Hill today by the Susan B. Anthony List, a pro-life women s group.

In the letter, the ex-employees reveal from personal experience that abortion is indeed deployed as a means of family planning in violation of federal law, and that one or more of us have personally witnessed and can testify to the validity of specific concerns raised by subcommittee chairman Cliff Stearns (R-FL). http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/former-planned-parenthood-workers-back-congressional-probe/

Emily s List Laments War on Women, Ignores Pro-Life Women
EMILY s List, the Democratic political action committee that supports pro-abortion female candidates, is no stranger to extreme pro-abortion rhetoric.

In order to receive the group s endorsement, a candidate must espouse the most radical elements of the abortion movement including partial-birth abortion and taxpayer funding of abortion. On Tuesday, the group held a Washington DC fundraiser in where a handful of pro-abortion senators took the opportunity to declare that the Republican Party is currently waging a war on women.

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), a long-time supporter of abortion-on-demand, made the assertion, citing Republican opposition to taxpayer funding for abortion and funding for abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. Despite the over-the-top claims by Boxer and EMILY s List, polls actually show American women agree with the pro-life movement that their tax dollars should not be used to fund abortion.

Accompanied by Senators Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Amy Klobaucher (D-MN), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Boxer urged EMILY s List donors to give generously to help the group elect more pro-abortion female officials. The best way to fight back in this war is to elect more women, she said.

If anyone is waging a war on women, it s the pro-abortion Democratic Senate majority, which has voted down or blocked votes on common sense pro-life legislation supported by the majority of American women. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/emilys-list-laments-war-on-women-ignores-pro-life-women/

Planned Parenthood is Back With Choice on Earth Campaign
The marketing department at Planned Parenthood must not be cranking out many new ideas because the nation s biggest abortion business is back with the same Choice on Earth fundraising campaign it unveils every December.

In an email to supporters with a header blaring Choice on Earth in the same sacrilegious way it has every year, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards thanks the pro-abortion group s hardcore donors for sticking with the embattled abortion business for another year.

I ve never had a year like this. None of us here at Planned Parenthood has, Richards says. It s not the unprecedented, relentless attacks on Planned Parenthood and women s health. It s not the continuing need of women and families who rely on Planned Parenthood health centers every day. It s you. You ve stood with us every step of the way and I ve been amazed, inspired, and grateful.

Richards complains that pro-life advocates came dangerously close to barring federal funding for all Planned Parenthood health centers and she bemoaned the anti-choice members of Congress who launched the most vicious legislative assault this organization has ever seen.

But you know as well as I do that the fight is not over. Opponents of women s health haven t given up day in and day out, they re attacking Planned Parenthood and every woman s right to make her own medical decisions. In Congress and in statehouses from coast to coast, in local communities and on the campaign trail, they are relentless, Richards continues. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/planned-parenthood-is-back-with-choice-on-earth-campaign/

Five Pro-Abortion Women Celebrities Pro-Lifers Should Boycott
If we stopped watching every movie or TV show featuring a pro-choice celebrity, we d never watch anything. However, there are a few entertainers who are such blatant shills for the abortion industry that I as a pro-lifer feel obligated to deny them my money and attention.

Here are just a few. I m putting them in ascending order from least to greatest in terms of how much they annoy me, but rest assured they are all deeply annoying.

Abortion Backers Blast Obama Administration in Rare Divide
Nancy Keenan of NARAL has worked closely with pro-abortion President Barack Obama to advance abortion, but today s decision by the Obama administration not to sell the morning after pill to teen girls without a prescription makes this the first time they have been at odds.

Keenan blasted the Obama administration in comments after the decision saying she disagreed with the Secretary of Health and Human Services decision to overrule a recommendation from the Food and Drug Administration.

Experts like the American Academy of Pediatrics long ago recommended that this emergency contraceptive medication be available for women of all ages, Keenan said. We had every confidence that this Bush-era policy would come to an end. The Obama administration has broken a key promise to the American people that it would base its decisions on sound science and what s in the best interest of women s health. In short, this is a failure to deliver change. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/abortion-backers-blast-obama-administration-in-rare-divide/

College Students Eager to Defend, Not Debate, Abortion
Students at Columbia Right to Life recently hit a brick wall when they tried to organize a public debate with a pro-choice representative. They were ready and willing to fly a speaker across the country and get a group of two hundred to witness the event. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/college-students-eager-to-defend-not-debate-abortion/

Democrats and Planned Parenthood Happy to Party at Christmas
All the superfluous language about women s reproductive health aside, Planned Parenthood is in the business of death. They ve built an empire by performing abortions to the tune of 300,000 a year (currently), by filling their coffers with taxpayer monies, and by securing an ever-ready defense from leftist politicians. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/democrats-and-planned-parenthood-happy-to-party-at-christmas/

Research With Body Parts of Aborted Babies Won t Cure Diseases
A while back Don Reed, writing for the Huffington Post, argued against a pro-life bill in the Wisconsin Assembly that would prohibit the sale or use of body parts of aborted unborn babies for research purposes. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/07/research-with-body-parts-of-aborted-babies-wont-cure-diseases/
