Pro-Life Group: Democrats Killing Filibuster Would Advance Abortion
One of the major pro-life groups in the nation s capital is worried about a move by pro-abortion Democrats in the Senate to kill the filibuster. If Harry Reid and his colleagues are successful, it would pave the way for President Barack Obama s abortion agenda.

The National Right to Life Committee is alerting pro-life advocates to the move with the hopes of stopping it. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/pro-life-group-democrats-killing-filibuster-would-advance-abortion/

Abortion Survivor s Story Exposes Myth of Wanted Babies
I almost felt like I was throwing the baby at the nurses, like quick! and the team just responded immediately!

Those words, spoken by a young doctor with evident joy and relief on her face, hit me like a ton of bricks as I sat watching the news clip. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/abortion-survivors-story-exposes-myth-of-wanted-babies/

Planned Parenthood Botches Tubal: Woman Injured, Becomes Pregnant
Planned Parenthood is the nation s largest abortion provider, but for those of us who have a moral objection to abortion, we are told not to oppose Planned Parenthood altogether because they provide other essential healthcare services for women.

However, Planned Parenthood has made national news recently for covering up child sex trafficking, botching 18 abortions in 2012 alone (including the death of Tonya Reaves in Illinois), and Planned Parenthood has come under fire after they claimed to provide patient mammograms to ensure continued funding from the U.S. government, when in fact they do not. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/planned-parenthood-botches-tubal-woman-injured-becomes-pregnant/

Planned Parenthood Again Sues Texas to Force Taxpayer Funding
Not happy that the state of Texas has cut off its taxpayer funding via a state program meant to fund legitimate health care for women, Planned Parenthood is heading back to court.

This time, a Texas Planned Parenthood patient named Marcela Marcy Balquinta has filed suit for her and the abortion business and the lawsuit claims Health and Human Services executive director Kyle Janek and the Texas Department of State Health Services do not have the authority to exclude Planned Parenthood. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/planned-parenthood-again-sues-texas-to-force-taxpayer-funding/

Human Caviar, Eating Human Embryos as a New Delicacy?
I thought I had heard just about every argument surrounding using human embryos in research. The other day I realized, I hadn t.

A friend of mine, who was reading Why Catholicism Matters by Dr. William Donohue, pointed out a passage where Dr. Donohue refers to a piece by Leon Kass, an ethicist of Jewish descent, called The Meaning of Life in the Laboratory. Dr. Kass delves into the status of the human embryo and whether or not a human embryo is simply a ball of cells or something more. He writes this disturbing, but relevant passage. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/human-caviar-eating-human-embryos-as-a-new-delicacy/

Video: From Conception to Birth in 90 Seconds!
This will be a very short post it has one purpose which is to direct you to www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nKnfjdEPLJ0. There you will find a 90-second video that in a very innocent and affectionate way illustrates the growth of a baby from conception to birth.

Labeled simply Introducing, the mother and father document Our little 9 month project, a time-lapse video which culminates with the birth of Amelie Amaya. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/video-from-conception-to-birth-in-90-seconds/

WHO Using Backdoor Methods to Push Abortion at the UN
One of the great pro-life victories internationally over the past twenty years has been the defeat of the attempt to make abortion a universally recognized right through U.N. documents. Abortion is not mentioned in a single hard-law treaty and therefore has not risen to the legal level of a human right.

While abortion has not made any real progress through the U.N. rights-based approach, it has made serious advances through its promotion as a basic medical practice. The great engine for this has been the World Health Organization. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/who-using-backdoor-methods-to-push-abortion-at-the-un/

Pro-Abortion But Anti-Death Penalty: the Real Hypocrisy
There s a funny thing about most pro-abortion criticisms of pro-lifers: usually they reveal more about the challenger than the challenged. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/pro-abortion-but-anti-death-penalty-the-real-hypocrisy/

Study: While Iowa Abortions Decline, Planned Parenthood Does More
A new study published in the American Journal of Public Health analyzes the use of telemedicine to remotely administer medical (chemical, RU486) abortions in Iowa. Planned Parenthood began performing these webcam abortions in 2008, and by 2010 they were offered at 11 different clinics across Iowa. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/study-while-iowa-abortions-decline-planned-parenthood-does-more/

Planned Parenthood Vermont Expands to Do Abortions at 18 Weeks
The Planned Parenthood affiliate in Vermont is expanding its abortion business to take the lives of unborn children two weeks later in pregnancy than it does currently. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/planned-parenthood-vermont-expands-to-do-abortions-at-18-weeks/

Fight Against Doctors Cutting Life Support Heads to Canada Court
Futile Care Theory, aka medical futility, is a bioethical theory under which doctors/ hospital bioethics committees are empowered to withdraw wanted life-sustaining treatment based on their perceptions of the patient s quality of life and/or a cost-benefit analysis determining whether the money being spent is worth the price. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/fight-against-doctors-cutting-life-support-heads-to-canada-court/

Former Komen VP to Expose Planned Parenthood Bullying in Webcast
Former Komen Vice President Karen Handel has authored Planned Bullyhood: The Truth Behind the Headlines about the Planned Parenthood Funding Battle with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an insider s account of how one of the most beloved American charities found itself the target of a vicious, orchestrated attack that threatened to run it out of business. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/former-komen-vp-to-expose-planned-parenthood-bullying-in-webcast/

Philippines May Pass Reproductive Health Bill, Precursor to Abortion
After fourteen years of debate, political leaders in the Philippines may be on the verge of passing the controversial, anti-life Reproductive Health Bill (RH Bill). The legislation is seen as a precursor to potentially legalizing abortion in the pro-life, Catholic nation. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/philippines-may-pass-reproductive-health-bill-precursor-to-abortion/

Doctor Rapes Woman, Tricks Her Into Taking Abortion Drug

Pharmacists in Illinois Won t Be Forced to Dispense Plan B Drug
Pharmacists in Illinois have won a final victory in a seven-year legal battle in which they have fought for the right not to have to dispense the Plan B drug, which may cause abortions in some instances. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/pharmacists-in-illinois-wont-be-forced-to-dispense-plan-b-drug/

Detroit Free Press Mocks Pro-Life Bill Without Reading It
Instead of reading pending prolife legislation in Michigan and then attempting to make an argument against it, the editorial board of the Detroit Free Press has decided to just take the word of Planned Parenthood Mid and South Michigan CEO Lori Lamerand. In a editorial today, they allow Lamerand to falsely claim Michigan s Abortion Insurance Opt-Out legislation isn t clear as to what elective abortion is. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/11/detroit-free-press-mocks-pro-life-bill-without-reading-it/
