Planned Parenthood, NARAL Oppose Sex-Selection Abortion Ban
As members of Congress hold a hearing today on legislation that would ban sex-selection abortions and abortions done if the unborn child is of a specific race, leading pro-abortion advocacy groups are strongly opposed to it.

Their opposition could explain why organizations like Planned Parenthood, NARAL and the ACLU almost never speak out against the horrible human rights abuses associated with the one-child policy in China ranging from sex-selection abortions, to forced abortions, to coercive sterilizations and infanticides.

As members prepare to hear from experts on how the sex-selection abortion culture has made its way from nations like China and India to the United States, according to one study, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, ACLU and a total of 30 pro-abortion groups banded together for a letter opposing the legislation, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act.

The claim the bill, sponsored by pro-life Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican, is simply more of the same from the anti-choice extremists choice extremists in the House and they urged a no vote on it.

[T]he bill will effectively exacerbate already existing disparities by limiting some women s access to comprehensive reproductive health care and penalizing health care providers, they allege. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/planned-parenthood-naral-oppose-sex-selection-abortion-ban/

Senate Republicans Stop Another Obama Pro-Abortion Judge
Senate Republicans on Tuesday successfully filibustered the nomination of pro-abortion judicial nominee Caitlin Halligan to replace Supreme Court Justice John Roberts on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, considered to be the nation s second most important court.

With lawmakers voting 54-45, Senate Democrats failed to get the 60 votes they needed to move to an actual vote on Halligan s nomination.

Several pro-life groups opposed Halligan s nomination and urged senators to vote against cloture. All of the Senate s conservative Republicans voted against cloture and they were joined by moderates who have upset pro-life advocates by supporting the judges in the past with Sens. Dick Lugar of Indiana, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Scott Brown of Massachusetts opposing Halligan. On the other hand, pro-abortion Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski voted for cloture.

Meanwhile, every Senate Democrat, including pro-life Democrats Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, voted for allowing a vote on the pro-abortion nominee. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/senate-republicans-stop-another-obama-pro-abortion-judge/

Obama, FDA May Sell Morning After Pill to Teens on the Shelves
The Obama administration is examining the possibility of selling the morning after pill to teenagers and the FDA has until Wednesday to respond to a request from the maker of the Plan B drug to sell it on the shelves and not behind the pharmacist s counter.

The FDA has already taken the health and safety of women out of the hands of doctors. The FDA originally approved the morning after pill at the end of the Clinton administration in 1999 and, in 2006, it was approved for nonprescription use for women 18 and older.

Previously, a federal court ordered the Food and Drug Administration to reconsider its decision preventing minors from purchasing the morning after pill without a prescription.

At the time, Wendy Wright, the president of Concerned Women for America, since retired, said the age restrictions need more enforcement, not less. She also worries that a parent, older sibling or other relative or older friends could purchase the morning after pill for young teens, avoiding the requirement that they visit a doctor first before using the drug.

Wright said selling the morning after pill over the counter will make it easier for men who abuse young women to cover up their crimes. Any adult male who is having sex with a minor could walk into a pharmacy, buy the drug, and coax the girl into taking the pill, she said. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/obama-fda-may-sell-morning-after-pill-to-teens-on-the-shelves/

Siri Scandal Due to Abortion Biz Deceptive Advertising
Last week abortion proponents thought they had discovered a terrible conspiracy, that covert pro-lifers at Apple had secretly programed the new iPhone feature Siri to be pro-life.

Siri is an intelligent personal assistant to which (whom?) you can ask questions, and Siri will answer you. If you ask Siri, Where can I get a good hotdog? it will respond, I found several hotdog restaurants near you, and list them. Etc.

But when pro-aborts asked Siri, Where can I get an abortion? it responded, I don t see any abortion clinics. Sorry about that, or something similar. Or worse, it directed them to the nearest pregnancy care center. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/siri-scandal-due-to-abortion-biz-deceptive-advertising/

Huffington Post Ignores Planned Parenthood s Racist Roots
Looks like Huffington Post Black Voices (via black women s online mag, Clutch) is voicing its bizarre support, once again, for more black abortions in Dr. King Supported Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood, Why Won t You.

Kirsten Savali praises Planned Parenthood as if the abortion giant actually addresses and reduces urban unintended pregnancy rates, STD infection rates, and devastating fatherlessness. It seems that she s going for that shiny annual Margaret Sanger award. Way to go Kirsten!

She s just distorted her way into the warm embrace of the number one killer of the black community. Yes, over 363,705 black babies are killed annually by abortion compared to 289,366 African-American deaths from all other causes, combined. Killing is never a solution to any issue facing the black community, yet she supports the profit-making genocide that is population control (aka Planned Parenthood).

Genocide is defined by the United Nations Convention on Genocide (in whole or in part) as imposing measures intending to prevent births within the group. That, and the more obvious killing members of the group provision clearly establish what is going on in America s inner cities. And I m speaking in actuality, not metaphorical allusions and psychological projections as Savali has done throughout her article. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/huffington-post-ignores-planned-parenthoods-racist-roots/

Rick Perry Endorsed by New Hampshire Pro-Life Advocate
Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry today received the endorsement of the president of a statewide pro-life group in New Hampshire, the location of the second GOP primary election battleground.

Kurt Wuelper, the president of New Hampshire Right to Life, which is not affiliated with the National Right to Life Committee, endorsed Perry this afternoon as the best pro-life candidate to take on pro-abortion President Barack Obama in next year s presidential election.

I know that Gov. Perry unequivocally believes that life begins at conception and does not waiver in his protection of the unborn, unlike some self-professed pro-life candidates, said Wuelper. But more than just talking the talk, Rick Perry has shown he is a man of strong faith and strong action.

He added: He has a proven consistent record of protecting innocent human life and has signed more pro-life legislation than any governor in Texas history, including the Parental Notification Act, the Parental Consent Act, the Prenatal Protection Act, and the Woman s Right to Know Act. That s why I am supporting him for President. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/rick-perry-endorsed-by-new-hampshire-pro-life-advocate/

Congress Must Ban Sex-Selection and Race-Based Abortions
Nearly nine out of ten Americans oppose abortion for reasons of sex selection, but such acts of gender violence are neither illegal nor uncommon in our country. Permissive abortion laws and high-resolution ultrasounds make it easier than ever for parents to target and eliminate unwanted daughters (or sons) before birth.

Until the recent spate of negative publicity focused public attention on such crimes, it was not unusual to find abortionists advertising the availability of sex-selective abortions in newspapers such as the New York Times.

Anyone who has lived in and worked with the Asian-American community, as I have, is aware that the practice of selectively aborting female fetuses is disturbingly common. Women and their daughters are both victimized. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/congress-must-ban-sex-selection-and-race-based-abortions/

Texas Planned Parenthood Didn t Need Tax Funding, It s Rich
The recent revelation that Planned Parenthood of North Texas (PPNT) was simultaneously shuttering many clinics as it plans to open a new abortion supercenter leaves us with questions of the finances of this organization. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/texas-planned-parenthood-didnt-need-tax-funding-its-rich/

ACOG Preventing Doctors From Objecting to Abortions
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ABOG) are restricting opportunities for healthcare professionals to object to abortion and contraception on grounds of conscience. This will accelerate the growing problem of physician shortage. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/acog-preventing-doctors-from-objecting-to-abortions/

Feminists Join Pro-Lifers Warning of Cloning Exploiting Women
There is a dirty little secret behind cloning to obtain stem cells that no supporter ever wants to talk about. If they do even acknowledge the secret it is quickly dismissed as a non-issue. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/12/06/feminists-join-pro-lifers-warning-of-cloning-exploiting-women/
