U.S Senate Defeats CRPD Treaty That Would Promote Abortion
Members of the U.S. Senate voted today against the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities treaty that could open the door to promoting abortion on an international scale.

The treaty needed a two-thirds vote for approval and the Senate voted 61-38 to approve, which fell short of that requirement. Democrats voted for the treaty while most Republicans voted against it. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/u-s-senate-defeats-crpd-treaty-that-would-promote-abortion/

Planned Parenthood: 330,000 Abortions, 841 Adoptions, 0 Births
A tip of the hat to Rebecca Frazer for alerting readers to the latest jaw-dropping example of Planned Parenthood hypocrisy. You know, of course, that November was National Adoption Month. Leave it to PPFA of Indiana to try to tie its deadly wagon to the life-affirming option of adoption.

If you went to PPFA of Indiana s webpage you could have read a short item (published in the middle of November) that carried the headline, Celebrating National Adoption Month: Special Thanks to Our Adoption Partners. Here are the first two paragraphs: http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/planned-parenthood-330000-abortions-841-adoptions-0-births/

Pro-Abortion Actress Ashley Judd Considers Running for Senate
Ashley Judd, a pro-abortion actress, is considering a Senate bid against the pro-life senator who is the leader of Republicans in the U.S. Senate.

The Hollywood movie star is seriously considering a 2014 bid against Sen. Mitch McConnell and has reportedly spoken to pro-Breton Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) about whether such a bid would be feasible. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/pro-abortion-actress-ashley-judd-considers-running-for-senate/

This Christmas, Don t Shop at Stores Funding Planned Parenthood
It happens every year about this time scores of Christians start boycotting stores who have replaced Merry Christmas with Happy Holidays. This year it strikes me as a somewhat hypocritical act for many of the people who will respond to these lists with ire.

Of course I say Christmas, and I appreciate when places do, and I appreciate lists that tell us which places have made an effort to do so, but I don t really expect them to say it. Really, it s pretty demanding of me to expect the Muslim-owned franchise to tell me to celebrate Christ they just better not insult Him, you know? http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/this-christmas-dont-shop-at-stores-funding-planned-parenthood/

Pro-Abortion Senator to Lead Democrats in 2014 Senate Election
Republicans hope to take back the Senate in the 2014 elections. Pro-life advocates need that to happen in order to have any shot of repealing or scaling back abortion-funding Obamacare, de-funding Planned Parenthood or passing pro-life legislation.

Standing in their way will be pro-abortion Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado, who was named today to head the Demcorats 2014 election efforts with regard to keeping the pro-abortion party s control on the Senate. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/pro-abortion-senator-to-lead-democrats-in-2014-senate-election/

Obama Wants Pro-Abortion Democratic Party Chair to Stay
President Barack Obama wants pro-abortion Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to stay for another term as the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. The Florida congresswoman had been expected to stay in her post but a top DNC official said today that the president is supporting her.

A Roll Call report indicates Wasserman attended more than 850 campaign events in 31 states in the first 18 months of her tenure to support Obama s campaign for another four-year term. That includes events with the Planned Parenthood abortion business, which pumped $15 million into Obama s re-election bid. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/03/obama-wants-pro-abortion-democratic-party-chair-to-stay/

10,000 Irish Join Massive Pro-Life Vigil Outside Dáil
Pushing back against the attempt by abortion campaigners to exploit the recent death of a pregnant woman to try to get Ireland to legalize abortions, as many as 10,000 pro-life people joined the Vigil for Life today in Dublin.

Caroline Simons, legal consultant with the Pro Life Campaign said the Irish government was not obliged to legislate for abortion because of the European Court of Human Rights ABC case. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/10000-irish-join-massive-pro-life-vigil-outside-dail/

What if We Rang Salvation Army Bells to End Abortion?
Everyone in every town is familiar with the sweet people who ring bells and hold buckets for the needy this time of year. They are consistent and perhaps seasonally present, but familiar none the less. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/what-if-we-rang-salvation-army-bells-to-end-abortion/

Obamacare s Abortion Mandate Should Face More Defeats in Court
A court decision on Wednesday spells more trouble for Obamacare s abortion-pill mandate. Defenders of that mandate have been crowing about two court rulings against Christian businesses, notably Hobby Lobby. But the government s position is much weaker than its defenders let on. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/obamacares-abortion-mandate-should-face-more-defeats-in-court/

Video Game Teaches Women How to Do Illegal Abortions at Home
For twenty years plus, National Right to Life has warned that in their unceasing desire to expand the number of abortions, the Abortion Establishment was cutting more and more and more corners in promoting the use of chemical abortions, by which is ordinarily meant RU486. And those changes put mothers lives at increased risk. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/video-game-teaches-women-how-to-do-illegal-abortions-at-home/

UNICEF or UNISEX? UN Agency Pushing Sex, Abortion on Kids
The debate over a new Code on Childhood and Adolescence is raging in Peru. On the one side are UNICEF, UNFPA, Save the Children and a coalition of abortion-minded and radical feminist groups, many, if not most, of whom are foreign funded. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/unicef-or-unisex-un-agency-pushing-sex-abortion-on-kids/

Five Reasons Republicans Shouldn t Abandon the Pro-Life Position
Writer Kathleen Hunker has a new piece in which she outlines five reasons the Republican Party should not abandon the pro-life movement. Since Mitt Romney s defeat last month, some Republicans are suggesting the pro-life move away from pro-life candidates and the pro-life position, blaming it for the election defeat. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/five-reasons-republicans-shouldnt-abandon-the-pro-life-position/

Britain s Euthanasia Pathway Points to Obamacare s Death Panels
During the months leading up to the passage of Obamacare, Sarah Palin was mocked and excoriated for her use of the term death panels to describe the comparative effectiveness approach embraced by architects of the legislation. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/04/britains-euthanasia-pathway-points-to-obamacares-death-panels/
