At almost 20 weeks pregnant, Tom Riles and his wife lost Scotland
Bansley Riles to miscarriage. Riles said that when they received the
news that the baby had died in the womb, they were offered several
options – go to a “clinic” to “take care of the situation” or go to the
Hospital.

medical treatment, is speaking out publicly about her ordeal.

hit home for two reasons. My own mom, rest her soul, delivered my
youngest brother when she was 40. My dad, an over-the-road truck driver,

Last year, North Dakota became the first state to ban the abortion of
babies with Down syndrome. It was a small but important step in
protecting the lives of those with disabilities, who are often the most
vulnerable among us.
Unborn children prenatally diagnosed with a disability are, without question, the most helpless and endangered human beings among us. So the fact that North Dakota state lawmakers stood up in defense of these unborn children is more than just laudable. 22-year-old woman in Tanzania has given birth to a healthy baby after a
rare pregnancy, during which the unborn child grew in her abdomen
rather than her womb.
The woman went to
hospital with stomach pain at 32 weeks and told medical officials she
noticed her baby was not moving much during the pregnancy and that she
was struggling to go to the bathroom. Previous antenatal check-ups had
suggested the pregnancy was normal and, after a checkup, doctors thought
