Women abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, ending a two year struggle
by owner Diane Derzis to keep the troubled abortion clinic open – often
through deceptive and illegal means.
“Placing the abortion clinic property for sale or lease shows that Derzis has finally given up on her attempts to keep the New Woman All Women abortion clinic open. That means that pro-life groups that countered her every move have finally won,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “We pray that Derzis’ embattled abortion clinic in Jackson, Mississippi will soon follow suit because it has been proven over and over that she isn’t fit to operate a dog kennel, much less a clinic where abortion surgeries are done.” http://www.lifenews.com/2014/

new CNN poll released today confirms what prior CNN polls and others
have consistently shown in recent years — that a majority of Americans
want all or most all abortions made illegal.

Baby Girl Born Alive After Failed 22-Week Abortion Has Died
The
baby girl who
survived an abortion died on Friday, February 28, 2014. She lived about
three weeks, fighting problems due to her premature birth. She had
Down’s syndrome, as well as heart and kidney problems. She was born in
the Provincial Specialist Hospital (Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny)
in Wroc?aw.

to the Polish weekly “Wprost”, the girl’s death was announced by
Ma?gorzata Klaus, a spokesperson for the Provincial prosecutor. She also
explained that the investigation into medical malpractice was closed.

Texas Pro-Life Law Successfully Closes Three More Abortion Clinics
The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the last two abortion clinics
outside of big Texas cities will close Thursday because they can’t meet
the restrictions placed on facilities under the state’s new abortion
law.
Whole Woman’s Health in Beaumont and McAllen will close after providing abortions in the areas for a decade. Amy Hagstrom Miller, president of Whole Woman’s Health, which operated five abortion clinics before the law went into effect, said the provision requiring physicians to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the clinic was proving the most problematic. http://www.lifenews.com/2014/

Five-month-old
Sebastian stopped breathing while in his aunt’s car during a traffic
jam on the freeway last month and became unconscious. As Pamela Rauseo
pulled over and screamed for someone to help her nephew, Sebastian,
people came running to her aid — including a police officer and two
firefighters.
Sebastian, who
suffers from respiratory problems after being born prematurely, had
started to turn blue as Ms Rauseo drove along a highway at 2.30pm. She
